Chinese people are good at reversed technology. A couple of years ago, China was not a strong competitor at the Olympics; nowadays, Chinese athletes are behind the United States and Russia, historically two victors.
You can say the same thing about India: India knew that it would be hard to outsmart their Western counterparts in everything, so they played Adam Smith’s game: Focus on what you’re good at.
Today, India dominates the field of information technology (IT). Even though Trump doesn’t like immigrants, Indian IT specialists still protect his hidden tax returns. To help its people, India stopped listening to Pfizer and other top drug producing countries, for these pharmaceutical companies were charging outrageous amounts of money on drugs with expired patents.
The government of India assembled smart scientists and reproduced these drugs for a fraction of what foreign pharmaceutical companies were asking (India challenged these companies to sue it for caring for its people).
