I was honoured to represent His Excellency, Pastor Umo Bassey Eno, Ph.D., at the inauguration of the 31 Chapter Coordinators and 329 Ward Coordinators of Iban Presidency (SAPWA), held on Thursday, 30th July 2026, at the Women Development Centre, Uyo.

On behalf of the Governor, I charged the Coordinators to serve as effective bridges between government and the grassroots, ensuring that women benefit from the numerous empowerment and development initiatives of the ARISE Administration. I also urged them to lead with integrity, compassion and dedication while promoting unity and selfless service in their respective communities.

The event also featured the presentation of the Akwa Ibom Women Voters Database and the distribution of gas cylinders under SAPWA's nationwide clean energy campaign.

It was a pleasure to receive the Association of Wives of Permanent Secretaries (ASWOPS) during their courtesy visit to the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Welfare on Wednesday, 29 July 2026.

I sincerely commend these remarkable women for the unwavering support they give their husbands in the discharge of their responsibilities, as well as their enduring commitment to humanitarian service and family values. Their 27 years of dedicated service and impactful community interventions are worthy of commendation.

I am particularly encouraged by the association's planned Boy Child Project, which reflects our shared commitment to raising responsible, disciplined and productive future leaders. This initiative, alongside their other humanitarian efforts, aligns perfectly with the ARISE Agenda of His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno.

I appreciate ASWOPS for identifying with the vision of the Ministry and for expressing its readiness to partner with us in advancing the welfare of women, children and vulnerable persons across Akwa Ibom State.

Together, we will continue to build stronger families, empower our communities and create a brighter future for all.

Yesterday, Tuesday 28th July, 2026. I was delighted to receive the leadership of the National Council of Women Societies (NCWS), Akwa Ibom State Chapter, on a courtesy visit to my office at the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Welfare.

I commend the council for its unwavering commitment to complementing the Akwa Ibom State Government's efforts in promoting the welfare of women, children and other vulnerable persons. I particularly appreciate the State President, Hon. Idongesit Stephen Okoko, for her impactful leadership and the remarkable achievements recorded during her tenure, including women empowerment programmes, support for persons with disabilities and advocacy for the rights of women and the girl-child.

I appreciate the council's commitment to strengthening its partnership with the Ministry and assure them of the State Government's continued support in advancing programmes that promote gender equality, women's empowerment and social development. Their requests have been noted and will receive due consideration through the appropriate channels.

Together, we will continue to build a more inclusive and prosperous Akwa Ibom State where every woman, child and vulnerable person has the opportunity to thrive.

Yesterday, Tuesday, July 21, 2026, I endorsed the ARISE Peace Choir Competition 2026 during a courtesy visit by the organising committee, led by the Special Assistant to the Governor on Creative Talents Development, Mr. Emmanuel Owuala, to my office in Uyo.

I commend the organisers for conceiving an initiative that aligns with the vision of His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno's ARISE Agenda, promoting peace, unity, and social harmony across Akwa Ibom State as we approach another election season.

I assure the organisers of the Ministry's support and urge all Akwa Ibom people to embrace peace, unity, and violence-free elections. Through this competition, we will continue to spread the message of peaceful coexistence across the 31 Local Government Areas of our State.

The competition, themed "Peace Be Still," is a commendable platform for advancing the culture of peace in Akwa Ibom State.

Yesterday, I was delighted to receive the Ibom Open Maternity (IOM) 2026 Project Implementation Team on a courtesy visit to my office ahead of this year's outreach programme.

The Ibom Open Maternity Project is a laudable initiative that aligns with the ARISE Agenda of His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, and reflects our shared commitment to improving maternal and child healthcare across Akwa Ibom State.

I reaffirm the commitment of the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Welfare to partner with and support the successful implementation of this initiative. I also commend the Coordinator, Office of the First Lady, Lady Helen Eno Obareki, and the entire project team for their dedication to the wellbeing of women, children and vulnerable groups.

I appreciate the invitation to serve as Guest of Honour at the project's grand finale and look forward to working together to ensure the programme reaches and positively impacts more families across our communities.

Together, we will continue to advance the health and welfare of our women and children for a stronger and healthier Akwa Ibom State.

I was delighted to receive members of the Crusader Care Hub Foundation on a courtesy visit to my office on Friday, July 17, 2026, to discuss areas of collaboration in promoting the welfare and empowerment of women, children, and other vulnerable persons in Akwa Ibom State.

I commended the Foundation for its humanitarian vision and reaffirmed the commitment of the Akwa Ibom State Government, under the leadership of His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, to partnering with credible organizations whose programmes align with the ARISE Agenda of empowering vulnerable groups and reducing poverty across our communities.

The Foundation's Programme Coordinator, Mrs. Jocelyn Effiong, said the organization was established to provide humanitarian support for women, children, displaced persons, and other vulnerable groups, expressing optimism that a partnership with the Ministry would enhance its impact in the state.

The visit featured the presentation of a portrait to me by members of the Foundation.

Yesterday, Friday, 10th July 2026, I was delighted to receive the Akwa Ibom State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Corps Commandant Geraldine Sixtus Abetianbe, and her delegation on a courtesy visit to the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Welfare.

Our discussions centred on strengthening collaboration to protect women, children, and other vulnerable persons in Akwa Ibom State. I reaffirmed the Ministry's commitment to this partnership, in line with the ARISE Agenda of His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, whose administration places the welfare and protection of vulnerable citizens at the forefront.

I commend the NSCDC for its dedication to public safety, particularly through its Gender Unit, Anti-Human Trafficking Unit, and Safe School Initiative, and appreciate the Commandant's recognition of Governor Umo Eno's support for the widows of fallen NSCDC personnel.

I also thank the Commandant for the commemorative plaque presented to the Ministry as a symbol of our shared commitment to building a safer, more secure, and more compassionate Akwa Ibom State.
