THE VOICE THAT STIRRED DEPTHS 🕊️🕯️

Today, we join Africa and the world in celebrating the life and legacy of a creative who truly lived fully.

A voice that stirred depths, shook nations and captivated generations.

Olu Jacobs was one of Nigeria’s finest actors and voice talents. To many of us in the voice industry , he was the “King of Enunciation”. A master of clarity, diction and vocal presence. His words carried weight, and his voice could fill a room like thunder.

Our Team Lead says he vividly remembers one of his earliest encounters with that unmistakable voice through the NTA detective series, The Third Eye. Before the programme began, you would hear that commanding voice simply say: “The Third Eye.” Even before seeing him on screen, you were already captivated.

And that was the power of Olu Jacobs.

Beyond acting, Mr. Jacobs also lent his exceptional voice to radio commercials and brand campaigns, becoming part of the sonic identity of brands including Airtel, FirstBank and Globacom, among others.

For the African voiceover industry, this is the loss of more than an actor. We have lost a role model, a master of the craft and a true legend whose voice and artistry helped shape how excellence could sound.

We celebrate a life that was rich, impactful and beautifully lived.

May God comfort our dearest Aunty Joke, his sons and the entire family, and grant them strength in this season.
