....Member representing Delta North Senatorial district, Ned Nwoko, has cautioned those celebrating the victory of the former Governor of the state, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa.

Nwoko, in a statement issued on Tuesday by the Media Director of Anioma state creation, Tonnie Oganah, said the results of the election could only be announced by the national headquarters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja.

He noted that all the candidates in the elections have their strongholds and announcing partial results amounts to half truth and half truths are embellished lies capable of misleading the public...

The lawmaker stressed that Anioma people are not stup!d or short sighted to abandon their bright future because of mere crumbs and inducement offered by other candidates....

In another post , Delta North stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have firmly rejected what they described as a “self-imposed and propagandist declaration of victory” by former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, insisting that results from the field show Distinguished Senator Ned Munir Nwoko won the senatorial primaries by a wide margin....

Trending gist.. Former Minister of Transportation Rotimi Amaechi says his decision to wear the Igbo tiger-head traditional attire and red cap was a symbolic pr0test aga!nst the treatment of Igbo people in Nigeria...

Speaking on Arise Television, Amaechi explained that although he is Ikwerre from Rivers State, he recognizes cultural similarities between the Ikwerre and Igbo people, including language, food and traditions..

He said he publicly embraced the attire to show solidarity and speak aga!nst perce!ved injust!ce.

Earlier, Senator Ned Nwoko representing Delta North Senatorial District has raised the alarm over alleged manipulati0n of the process ahead of the All Progressives Congress, APC, primary election in the zone.

Nwoko is contesting alongside a former governor of the State, Ifeanyi Okowa who defected from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to the APC last year.
The office said despite earning the trust of the people “the Delta State government has made it a priority to block his emergence...

They are acting on the orders of former Governor Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, who has declared his intent to return to the Senate despite his rejection by Deltans in 2023.”

“State machinery has been mobilized, with state government appointees acting as returning officers at ward and LGA levels to write results in favor of Dr. Okowa.

We call on the APC National Headquarters, security agencies, and all lovers of democracy to ensure a free, fair, and credible primary..
