She just didn’t want to let that shoe go. ❤️👞
A friend brought her little girl’s footwear to me for a revamp.
It was a pointed-toe half shoe with a small heel, popularly called Selecto. The shoe had actually been passed down to the little girl by her elder sister.
But this little girl loved that shoe! 🥹
Every Sunday, she would ask her mum to let her wear it to church. The problem was that the shoe was already badly damaged. The sole had broken into three parts, and it was becoming difficult to wear.
Her mum eventually asked me if I could help.
And yes, we gave the shoe a second chance. ✨
After the revamp, the little girl was so happy that she called me herself to say thank you! ❤️
Honestly, that made me happy too.
Because sometimes, what we do as shoemakers goes beyond making or repairing footwear. We restore something that means something to someone.
In this case, we restored a little girl's joy of wearing her favourite shoe to church. 🥰
So before you throw that old footwear away, ask yourself: can it be revamped?
👞 Broken sole?
👠 Worn-out footwear?
🥿 Favourite pair you can't let go of?
Send us a picture or drop a comment. Let's see if we can give it another life.
