SMALL BUMP


Katie was applying make up when she noticed a small bump on her forehead. She thought nothing of it. She covered it up with foundation and it did the trick. The next day,it'd grown bigger and reddish. It didn't bother her and she covered it up again. Everyday,she thought nothing of it till it got unbearably painful. She went to the hospital to have it examined and it turned out to be a pimple gone rogue and she was told to rub and apply pressure to it. She did so and the swelling stopped.

A few months later,another bump appeared and she noticed it while checking her new dress on the mirror.

"Might be anothed pimple gone wrong". So she started applying pressure to it,pushing back slowly the pair of tiny black legs that stuck out of it.

MANNA

My girlfriend's father invited me to dinner at their house. Her family is pretty much religious and she was no exception. Her father was a Deacon in the church they served and my girlfriend was in the choir. I loved her so much. She's very beautiful no doubt and looked a lot like her father. Their religious beliefs didn't bother me since I was religious myself and her parents were nice. I'd only met them once at their church.

Dinner night arrived and I put on my best clothes. I drove to their house and my beautiful girlfriend opened the door for me and I went in with a bottle of wine for her father and flowers for her mother. They both appreciated my kind gesture and invited to sit at their dinner table. I sat down,well satisfied and welcomed. But the dinner table was empty. They all sat on the other chairs. I jokely said to my girlfriend "Where's the feast sweetheart?" I was hungry and she gave me a sweet smile.
She replied "God will provide". Since they were religious I expected MANNA to fall from their ceiling and waited anxiously for fhs miracle to happen.

"The Lord certainly will Son." Her mother uttered with a wide smile on her face.

"Lay down on the table as we pray son". I didn't suspect a thing since praying was a normal thing but laying down on the table wasn't normal. But I didn't suspect a thing since they were religious. I lay flat on the table and awaited the kind of peaceful words that'd been said when I was being baptized. I felt his gentle hand on my forehead as he began to pray.

"Lord,thank you for this meal that you have bestowed on us"

☠️ SCENES👻

"Please what do you want? Why can't you just leave me alone. I've done what you asked. What more do you want?" She asked more in a pleading tone as tears ran down her face.

A deep monstrous voice answered "Your blood!"

She began to run. The alleway was dark. She shouldn't have done what she did. It'd been too dangerous sacrificing her nephew to the BEAST. The police were looking all over for him now. Her sister was devasted but asleep before she'd left the house but the sacrifice hadn't been enough. All because of an ancestral curse. The big ancient house had doorways and more corners that led to more doorways and corners. There was no way out. It felt like the beast was manipulating her mind.

"Please please please please." A shriek echoed behind her and she knew he was close. She tripped as a clawed hand was about to reach her and screamed.

The lights turned on and she could hear the groans and mutterings of the director.

"For goodness sake Laura you don't trip. He catches you,eats you and story ends."

Laura rolled her eyes. "That's a little grosteqy for a movie Paul". The filming crew nods were vibrant.

"Well I don't care. It's my movie now go back and we'll replay the scene. 3! 2! 1! ACTION!"

A scream pierced the air as the Beast gobbled her down.
