( Aiden's Home)
Aiden got back home feeling disappointed from the day event.
Turns out the lead Gabriel got is wrong, seems like wherever his grandfather is keeping her won't ever be known no matter how much he tries.
"You are back sir" Lee approach to take his bag and coat.
"I don't want dinner tonight"
"About that...Mrs Winston made dinner for you and spent the whole evening waiting, but you stood her up" Lee said.
Is it his imagination or did Lee sound angry?
"She was waiting for me?" Aiden ask.
"She did. Even got everything prepared, but you never showed up"
"Where's she?"
"In her room"
Aiden head to Beth's room, hoping to talk to her since it won't be in his best interest to get her angry cause according to his grandfather, he has to use her influence with college kids to get more votes.
It's the reason he help her with her boyfriend issue or he won't have bother. It's also the reason he's standing in front of her door, willing to apologize when he wouldn't have care.
He's about to knock on the door when he heard her crying.
His earlier thought about trying to apologise to her for his own benefit turn into genuine concern. Without bothering to knock, he went into the room.
She's curled on the sofa, her face buried in her thigh as she sob.
Did getting stood up hit her that hard? He thought feeling bad.
"Hey" he call and she lift her head, tears streaking down her face.
Somewhere within him, it hurt seeing the tears on her face and knowing that he might have caused it made him feel more bad.
He shouldn't be thinking this way, shouldn't be feeling remorse towards a girl he's only using, but here he is...feeling just that.
"Beth I..."
"It's unfair" she sniff hard, wiping at her face. "It's so unfair, Aiden"
"Kid, I didn't mean to..."
"Why did he have to die? They had a sweet story"
"Okay, back up a bit. Why exactly are you crying?" Aiden ask.
She lift up her phone to show him the movie playing in it.
"Titanic made you cry?" He ask, wondering how he can strangle her without killing her.
"It's so sad. Jack and Rose had a sweet love story, they shouldn't have die"
"And here I was thinking you were crying because I stood you up" Aiden said, folding his arms against his chest.
"Oh right! About that, why on earth didn't you show up? I waited hours for you and I called earlier, but your secretary answered and was kind of rude and..."
"My secretary answered?"
"Yeah. She did and nevermind, you are here now and that's all that matter" she said, giving him one of her brightest smile.
Its so rare how her mood changes. One moment she's in tears and the next she's smiling.
"If you are okay, I will head back to..."
"Hell no! You are here now and there's no way I'm going to let you leave" she rush toward him, taking hold of his arm to pull him on the sofa next to him.
"What are you doing?"
"I heard from butler lee that all you do is work. You need to relax and unwind once in a while and you will be doing that tonight. Watch a movie with me"
"I don't think we are that close to be watching a movie together kid"
"Tch! I know that old man. For the record I still hate you, but I don't mind watching a movie with you. What's your favourite genre"
"Horror" he said and smile when he see the face she made.
"Don't tell me you are a sissy when it comes to horror movies?" He ask, teasing her.
"Of course not! I watch any genre" she said making a brave face and that got his lips tilting more.
After choosing her pick on Netflix and asking the maid to bring in some late night snacks, the movie begin to play.
This is the first time in a long time that he has given himself a chance to unwind and it's all thanks to the girl slowly dozing off next to him.
He will admit that he had hated her the first time they met and would have wanted nothing to do with her if it weren't for his grandfather.
When she let out a loud snore, Aiden smile again making it the third time he has smile around her.
Turning off her phone, he carried her to the bed where she kick off the sheet he use to cover her.
Gosh, she's cute.
What the...did he just think her cute? What on earth is wrong with him? Aiden thought as he quickly left her room just as he got a call from his grandfather.
"Hello sir" Aiden answer, acting all business like even though his grandfather isn't around to see him. That's how much William Winston brutal training has gotten to him.
"The sheikh of Dubai will be arriving tomorrow. You know what you have to do when he arrive" William said, going straight to the point.
"Be on his good side and get his support for the election. I know that sir"
"I heard he's quite a big deal, so make sure you cater to all his whim and do not fail me, Aiden. You know how important it is to get him on your side, do well to keep that in mind"
"I will sir"
"If things go well, I might decide to give you a clue. I know you've been trying to look for her behind my back, but without my say, you won't ever find her. But I can be generous if you give me what I want in return"
"I won't disappoint you sir" Aiden said, his fist clenching while he try to rein in his anger.

( Next Day ~ Airport )
"Anything I have to be aware of about this sheikh Hassan?" Aiden ask Gabriel who's standing next to him along with some few people who are waiting for the sheikh arrival.
"Aside from ruling his country with a iron fist, he's well respected and look up to. But he's got two flaw" Gabriel said.
"Which is?"
"He looks down on people and loves women. He currently married his sixth wife after threatening to kill her family" Gabriel inform.
"What a barbarian"
"I also think he is that sir, but remember. We can't get on his bad side. You need his support for the election"
"I will keep that in mind" Aiden reply, though he hate the fact that he will sucking up to an Ar****le.
The plane arrive and the sheikh's entourage came out of the plane before Sheikh Hassan himself.
"Good morning Sheikh Hassan. I trust you had a nice flight" Aiden said, putting on one of his most charming smile.
"I would like to greet you with the same enthusiasm, but I can't. You see, I was offended by your people" sheikh Hassan said as two of his men walk down a female hostess, making her kneel on the floor.
"What happen?" Aiden ask.
"I didn't mean to disrespect him sir, but he won't stop no matter how many times I refuse. He kept touching me in inappropriate places and so I..." The female hostess didn't get to complete her sentence when Sheikh Hassan slap her across the face.
"That is how you handle your employee, Mr Winston. I told you she offended me, you don't need to know what she did, you only have to punish her for my sake"
Aiden knew without a doubt that the sheikh is the one at fault, he's about to point that out when Gabriel stop him.
"Remember, you are to get on his good side" Gabriel whisper.
"So what are you going to do?" Sheikh Hassan ask.
"She will be punished. Take her away and lock her up" Aiden said, ignoring the lady plea that she's innocent.
"Nice. So how about we go somewhere to talk business" Sheikh Hassan said.
Later that day, Aiden got back home and lock himself up in his office study to go over some pending business when Beth join him.
"Put them down" she said to the maid who set down a tray of food on the desk.
"What's going on?" Aiden ask.
"I heard you are not eating dinner and since the maid and I work hard to prepare it, there's no way I will let you let it go to waste" She said, sitting in the empty chair in front of him.
"So let's have dinner" She said, holding the utensil to him.
Aiden decide to eat since in the mood he's in, he will rather listen to her chattering than be alone.
"Don't you have school to attend or something?" Aiden ask, eating the salad in front of him.
"It's the summer old man and school doesn't resume until September" she reply and went ahead to tell him about her day and surprisingly, he listen to it. Feeling comfortable with her.
"Is something wrong old man?" Beth suddenly ask which got his gaze on her.
"Why do you think something is wrong?"
"Cause you are not your obnoxious self tonight"
"Am I that obnoxious?"
"Very much"
"Alright. I accept"
"So are you going to tell me what is wrong now?"
"Well, If someone you know is a prick and a louse who you are meant to crush but can't because you need something from him, what are you going to do?" Aiden ask, referring to Sheikh Hassan.
"I will definitely crush him. I mean, he is a prick and louse. No matter what I need from him, if he turns out to be someone bad then I will cut ties with him but not before giving him one or two punch" Beth said which made him laugh.
"I will keep that in mind"
And so the next day, Aiden went to see Sheikh Hassan at the hotel they book for him.
Hassan guards wouldn't let him go in cause according to the Sheikh, he wanted no one to disturb him.
Aiden decide to return later in the day and was about to leave when he heard a scream, coming from the sheikh room.
"What's that?" Aiden ask.
"Just go" Hassan guard said, blocking his way.
Aiden refuse to leave until he gets to know what happen and so, he barge his way in. Gabriel who's behind him holding onto the guards so Aiden can go in freely.
As soon as Aiden walk in, he stop short when he see Hassan trying to force himself on a maid. At that moment, Beth's words came to him.
*I will definitely crush him*
In two angry stride, Aiden grab hold of the sheikh, punching him twice on the face.

Beth is busy with the maids in the kitchen when Butler lee walk in. A worried look on his face.
"You need to see this, Mrs Winston" He said, giving Beth his phone.
According to the news, Sheikh Hassan intend to sue Aiden for assaulting him. The reason for the assault wasn't specified, but Aiden is being blamed for attacking the sheikh for no reason.
"Where is Aiden?" Beth ask.
"With his grandfather. I suggest you go see him, he's not safe with that man" Butler lee said.

Aiden got slapped on the face by a angry William.
"You stupid child! I told you to get on the sheikh's side not to assault him!"
"He tried to mo**st someone, how can I stand back and watch?" Aiden question which earn him another slap from William.
"And how is that your business? If he f**KS the entire maid in that hotel then it's none of your business"
"Yeah, that might be you, but it's certainly not me"
"Seems like it's been long since you got punish for your mistake" William said, walking towards a stereo to turn on a music.
He knows Aiden phobia is the music currently drifting out of that stereo. Ever since the night his grandfather made him watch how he push the only good thing in his life down the stairs, he has been suffering from panic attacks.
Whenever he failed, William will play this music while tormenting him with a whip on the back.
Aiden fall on his knees, relieving those cruel memory while finding it hard to breathe.
The door suddenly burst open and a worried Beth run into the room.
Upon seeing the scene, she quickly went to turn off the music, glaring at his grandfather.
"Aiden doesn't like music" she yell at him before kneeling in front of Aiden who's still finding it hard to breathe.
"Aiden, Aiden, look at me! Look at me" she urge, holding onto his face.
Aiden try to focus on her, part of him glad that she's here and another angry that she has to see him like this.
"Pathetic!" William said before leaving the room.
"Aiden please look at me, try to breathe okay, please try to breathe" she said, tears forming in her eyes.
Is she...crying for him? Aiden thought, watching her.
"What should I do? What can I..." She stop rambling to do something he didn't expect.
She kissed him.
"Aiden" she call, pulling away from him.
Weird.
He should be mad that she kissed him, but instead, he wants more.
So he wrap his arm around her nape, bringing her close before claiming her lips.....
