Today, sitting in a room full of incredible MCs and event hosts, I found myself reflecting. (All thanks to for hosting this masterclass) Sometimes, when opportunities don’t come as often as you’d like, it’s easy to forget how far you’ve come. Easy to focus on what’s not happening instead of what you’ve already done.

Looking at this award today reminded me of something important: capacity doesn’t disappear because you’re in a quieter season.

I am still the same person who stepped on stages and left a lasting impression. Still the same person whose work was recognized. Still the same person with so much more to give.

This season may not look exactly how I imagined, but I refuse to let the pace of opportunities make me question the gift.

Today was a reminder to keep learning, keep showing up, and keep trusting that there is room for me in every room I’m called to.

And for that reminder, I’m grateful.

The same Jesus who said, “He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone” (John 8:7), also chose to dine with Zacchaeus before he changed (Luke 19:5), spoke kindly to the Samaritan woman despite her past (John 4:18), defended the woman who washed His feet with her tears (Luke 7:47), and prayed for the very people crucifying Him (Luke 23:34).

Jesus never watered down truth, but He consistently demonstrated compassion, understanding, and restoration over public shame and self-righteous judgment.

Stepped into Ojude Oba for the very first time outside of social media… and it wasn’t just an event, it was a full cultural experience.

From Orijinal Nite at the Orijin Cultural Hub, where the energy was already setting the tone, to standing right in the middle of Ojude Oba watching culture, fashion, pride, and storytelling come alive in real time… every moment felt intentional.

Then just when I thought it was over, Day 2 of Orijinal Nite showed up louder, wilder, and more unforgettable, with DJ YK Mule turning the whole place into a movie and closing the night with Princess Adeshile in pure celebration mode.

This wasn’t just a trip.

It was 24 hours of culture, music, identity, and connection.

And I’m grateful I got to experience it for the first time through a brand that sits right at the heart of culture and celebration.
