UPDATE: SECURITY INITIATIVES AND PROGRESS BY THE ISANLU PROGRESSIVE UNION. 21 NOVEMBER, 2025
The Isanlu Progressive Union wishes to update and firmly reassure all indigenes of Isanlu Kingdom that our safety and well-being are the union's highest priority. We want to state unequivocally that significant and deliberate security measures have been put in place to ensure our protection. You can go about your daily lives with confidence, free from the fear of any assault or targeted disturbance. Our collective strength and resilience are the bedrock of our community, and we are committed to preserving the peace we all cherish.
2. While our dedicated teams are working tirelessly along with the Agbana of Isanlu Kingdom and the Traditional Council to maintain a secure environment, we must recognize that true security is a shared responsibility. At this moment, intelligence is key. The most powerful tool we have is our own vigilance and our willingness to look out for one another. We are calling on every resident to be the eyes and ears of our community, transforming our neighborhoods into a unified network of awareness. Your alertness is an indispensable layer of our overall security strategy.
3. This is a time for collective responsibility. We urge every single one of you to remain observant and to report anything that seems unusual or out of place. If you see or notice any strange movement, unfamiliar activity, or anything that causes you concern, do not hesitate to speak up. Say it to the authorities immediately. No piece of information is too small, and your report could be the crucial piece that prevents an incident.
4. We have faced challenges before, and with the same unity and resolve, we will overcome this moment as well. This is a time we will get over, and we will do so by standing together. Let us continue to support one another, to communicate openly, and to foster the spirit of cooperation that defines who we are as a kingdom.
5. We sincerely appreciate our revered royal father, kabiyesi, His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr) Moses Babatunde Etombi, the Agbana of Isanlu Kingdom, and Hon. Asiwaju Asiru Idris, Commissioner for Finance, Kogi State, all well-meaning sons and daughters of the kingdom for your continued support and resilience. Thank you all for your partnership, courage, and commitment to keeping our home safe.
