MAY DAY: INTERNATIONAL WORKER'S DAY
May 1st is universally acknowledged as International Worker's day. A day which provides an opportunity to salute the efforts of those who labour to sustain the Socio-Economic balance of our nation, Nigeria.
As we celebrate this day, The Big Time Fellows join other well meaning Nigerians to commend the effort and sacrifice of the workers. The contribution of workers across different sectors of our national development can not be overemphasized. They are the engine room of every organisation, all establishments and our nation. They are our heroes.
However, while our nation continue to battle the issue of insecurity in the country and the subsequent measures put in place by Government to address and tackle the issue, we implore our dear workers to remain steadfast and courageous as we pass through this critical challenges by God Willings.
We call on Governments at all levels including the private sector, to patrioritize the welfare of workers at this time. However, there is the need for the Government at this time to help the orphans and the poor especially during the sallah festivals as part of its effort to cushion the effect of the recent critical condition. Welfarism of the poor's and vulnerable has to be a priority.
However, Executives of the Government at all level, Senators of the Federation representing different Senatorial District across the nation, Representatives of both Federal and State constituencies, all individuals at the corridor of power. Must
remain committed to raising and supporting motions that would create jobs, protect the Nigerian Workers and improve the Nation's work environment to the benefit of all Nigerians, our workers in particular.
Finally, we urge all Nigerians to remain blessed, as the nation mark this historic day amid the holy month of Ramadan and the preparations ahead the eid festival.
God Blessed Nigeria!
