Big moment for Plateau football!

From Plateau United Queens to the national spotlight, Nanklin Veronica Kefas has earned a well-deserved call-up to the Flamingos ahead of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Morocco.

At Experience Plateau, we celebrate this rise, a young talent stepping boldly from local pitches to the global stage.

Her journey is proof that greatness grows here: in the discipline, the hustle, and the dreams nurtured in Plateau.

From Plateau to the world, this is what progress in motion looks like.

We’re proud of you, Nanklin. Go shine and make Nigeria proud 💚💛

From all of us at Experience Plateau, Happy Easter.

This season reminds us that no matter how long the road feels, there is always a promise of renewal, light, and new beginnings. Easter is more than a celebration, it is a call to pause, reflect, and embrace the beauty of fresh starts.

And what better way to experience renewal than through discovery? Through the hills, the culture, the calm, and the stories waiting to be told across Plateau. Because sometimes, healing looks like a journey… and peace feels like a place.

As you celebrate with loved ones, we invite you to step out, explore, and reconnect, with nature, with people, and with yourself.

DID YOU KNOW?

From Jos to the world stage…
A name that started as a mistake became a legacy.
Before the fame, he was John Michael Nchekwube Obinna, a young boy in Jos with big dreams and serious talent.

Mikel John Obi began his journey at the Pepsi Football Academy, then moved on to Plateau United F.C.. Jos wasn’t just home, it was his training ground.

At 17, he made the leap to Europe, joining Lyn Oslo. But somewhere along the way, during the FIFA U-17 World Championship 2003, a simple error changed everything “Michael” became “Mikel.” And he kept it. From that moment, the name stuck and so did the greatness.

At Chelsea F.C., he became a global icon:
Premier League champion.
UEFA Champions League winner.
One of Africa’s finest midfielders.
From the streets of Jos to the biggest stadiums in the world his story reminds us: sometimes, what looks like a mistake becomes your identity.

DID YOU KNOW?

Some of the funniest stories online didn’t start on social media…They started on the streets of Jos.

Hilarious Sunnie—born Sunday Agbaji—grew up in a city where culture meets everyday life. From loud market banter to neighbour-to-neighbour gist, those moments became the foundation of his comedy.

Before the viral skits, he studied Theatre Arts at the University of Jos, learning storytelling, timing, and performance. Social media simply gave him a bigger stage.

Today, his content feels like home:strict parents, power outages, street conversations, the kind of moments Nigerians instantly recognise.

From skits to brand collaborations like Tukshopp, he’s proving that storytelling from the North can travel far and connect deeply.

Because for Sunnie, it’s more than comedy.
It’s culture. It’s memory. It’s identity.

And like many great stories, it started in Jos.

Vwang Cultural Day is more than a festival. It is a rite of passage.

Among the Mupun people, it marks a powerful transition, the moment boys step into manhood. A tradition that has been passed down through generations, carrying with it lessons of responsibility, courage, identity, and community.

But Vwang is also a beautiful celebration of culture. From the rich taste of traditional meals, to the rhythm of music and dance, the elegance of cultural attire, and the gathering of families and communities, every moment reflects the heritage and values that have shaped the Mupun people for centuries.

It is a day where tradition meets pride, where stories are remembered, and where culture is not just preserved, but proudly lived.

Happy Vwang Cultural Day.

Happy Vwang Cultural Day!

Vwang Cultural Day is more than just a celebration—it is a powerful reminder of identity, tradition, and the values that have guided the Mupun people for generations. It is a day when stories are remembered, traditions are proudly displayed, and the beauty of Mupun culture comes alive through music, dance, language, attire, and community.

From the wisdom of our elders to the vibrant energy of the younger generation, this day reminds us of the importance of preserving our heritage and passing it on with pride.

May this celebration continue to strengthen unity, deepen cultural pride, and inspire future generations to honor and uphold the traditions of the Mupun people.

Happy Vwang Cultural Day to all Mupun sons and daughters at home and across the world.

Today, we celebrate who we are, and where we come from.

Happy Birthday to His Excellency, Caleb Mutfwang, the Executive Governor of Plateau State.

Under your leadership, Plateau continues to rediscover its strength, its unity, and the promise of a future built on peace, opportunity, and shared progress. Your commitment to restoring hope and rebuilding the foundations of governance has inspired many across the state and beyond.

Beyond governance, your efforts to reposition Plateau as a destination for culture, creativity, and tourism are becoming increasingly visible. From renewed attention to the state’s rich heritage to the promotion of festivals, cultural experiences, and the natural beauty that has long earned Plateau its reputation as the “Home of Peace and Tourism,” there is a growing sense that the state is once again opening its doors to the world.

These strides speak not only to policy, but to vision—the belief that Plateau can thrive when peace, culture, and economic opportunity work hand in hand. Under your watch, conversations around tourism, culture, and creative enterprise are once again gaining momentum, offering new pathways for growth and global engagement.

As you mark another year today, we celebrate not just your birthday, but the service and dedication you continue to offer the people of Plateau.

Happy Birthday, Your Excellency.
Wishing you many more years of impactful leadership, good health, and continued success in service to the people.
