So you have a scar
Ripped apart, torn
A wound so deep it left a seemingly indelible mark
Were you a victim of your own choices,
Or a prey of a vicious predator?
Whatever the case, you ain't letting the world rip you apart with strange prying glares or slandering comments
You can't deal with the tweets, threads nor headlines
Have you ever thought the chit-chat and debate about your obvious scars, is their game to divert the attention from their own well-concealed imperfections?
But your scars are too real to you, you'd rather hide behind a veil
For you, you made your choices;
so you deserve this trophy of pain and regret
In your mind's eye, you're so flawed, so messed up, that you lack confidence to reveal yourself to anyone, talk more of Him
Him whose words pierces through the dividing assunder of your soul and spirit!
You're not willing to come bare before him even though you know he won't shove you away like a dog with rabies
You rather cower and hide
However, with Him, there's no hiding
Because he is,
El Roi- the God that sees you
He sees beyond your veil
With this one, you can let your guard down
And like Beersheba, confidently demand the throne
Because He turns Shame into Glory
Gives beauty for ashes
A garment of praise for a spirit of heaviness;
Only if
you would come boldly, taking off that veil
Because you see, that veil was torn by his blood off the temple whom you are
Not in your works - fulfilling all the laws and walking in your self-righteous robe
But by his blood!
So What if you bled?
What if you have shortcomings?
What if?
Your 'what ifs' do not undo 'what is the truth'
And The truth beckons that you walk freely unveiled for the world to see your redemption
And be one with His word - a city set on a hill that cannot be hidden.
Flaws, Scars et al in Him you're just right!
One with the Holy One,
Covered in his blood, covered!
Already covered Beloved,
No need for the veil
Unveil!
"Therefore let us with privilege approach the throne of grace [that is, the throne of God’s gracious favor] with confidence and without fear, so that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find [His amazing] grace to help in time of need [an appropriate blessing, coming just at the right moment]"
Hebrews 4:16 AMP
