More progress on "Eternity", my artwork that is meant to challenge us to return to the "let's grow old together" culture that's built from shared values, purpose and vision.
It breaks my heart to see so many marriages crash and people being so non-committal, and this is why this piece is the third piece in my series "Core Values", which addresses our values around love.

It's now been 6 years since I held a pencil to draw for the first time.
6 years since I figured out that such a thing as realistic drawing exists. Since I began to devour books and video lessons.
When I started, I had no inkling of how things were going to go, but putting one foot in front of the other for 6 years, a lot has happened:
- I've built an art business that has brought in self-sustaining income for 4 years.
- I've met amazing people from different parts of the world.
- I've taught and set the stage for many other would-be artists.

All from putting one foot in front of the other. So, if I had to tell you one thing about that thing you're about to start but can't figure out how or where to, I'd say, "just put one foot in front of the other".

Legacy is one of the reasons we as artists create; that down the line, our artworks become relevant as elements of culture, referencing an ideology, a perspective or perspective shift, or maybe even an aspiration.

This is what I hope for my artwork "Eternity", which is a part of my collection titled "Core Values", featuring "Bliss" and "Sanctuary".

"Eternity" is about shared purpose and vision, leading to a desire to grow old together and lead life as one unit.

It's a challenge to the current non-committal socio-cultural system, where people enter marriages with the idea at the back of their mind to jump out at the slightest inconvenience.

The piece is, and when completed will be, a call to restoring the idea of marriage as an partnership of two people, building each other, building together, fixing each other, with one target, one hope, impacting the next generation with love.

Eternity is the story of "the love we keep". And here are progress images of the work so far.

More progress in the creation of "Eternity", my last piece in my series titled "core values". Eternity represents "the love we keep" and emphasis shared vision and purpose, leading to a desire to grow old together.
It challenges us to rediscover this system in a world that's shifting towards a non-committal, no loyalty, short-term form of relationship and marriage.

Found this in my camera roll and...
It throws back to a relationship-themed commissioned project from back in 2023.

The piece has over time remained one of my personal favorites.
It was commissioned by a Nigerian acquaintance, for her close friend from Europe to show that "she cares". And she demonstrated this care by choosing to get a drawing that represented this friend and her dearly loved pet instead of her and her friend together in the piece.

I highly doubt I had this page then. But between that time and now, so much has happened.

Commissioned drawings, original art sales, and 123k followers later, here we are in 2026.

"Eternity" is the ultimate vision, and it's coming up nicely.
Soon, the third piece in my collection, "core values" will be completed. The piece that talks about "the love we keep", out of shared vision and purpose.
What the previous generations refer to as "growing old together".
This is one of the core values around relationships that seems to be eroding in this generation, but I'm making this artwork to remind us where we're falling from and that we need to get back to.
