NO! I STRONGLY DISAGREE, that every one (Tom, Dick and Harry) sings or play one instrument or the other makes MUSIC common or less professional. Yes everyone sings but not everyone is a musician.
Music is scientific
Music is Artistic
Music is Psychological
Music is Philosophical etc
Music combines several phenomenal despites its unity in diversity, which should attain quality level of mastery. The example I provided in the video shows a situation when you venture into music without proper procedures. My sermon as an instructor is, music as a profession is equally serious as other valued professions like nursing, law, medicine etc and should not be audaciously and arrogantly ventured into.
