GOVERNMENT TO THE PEOPLE FACT 1
As we have seen the fundamental principles of creating a law, to guide the relationship between the institutions of government as well as the behavour of the individuals who are in the State. In every point of view it seems that, there is no law again in Nigeria. This leads to insecurity everywhere, oppressions, anarchy, and no progress (nothing is moving again in the states). We have moved back again to ancients lives when there is no government, strong oppression of weak, no right of property and human beings lived in a state of perpetual fear and killings.
We urge the Federal Government to do needful to stop these ugly things happening in country,States.See how the innocent bloods are been shade away day by day, Massive killings, destructions every where a state of no hope.
The major problems in Nigeria today are lack of law implementations. We have what is called paper Law (only written down without actions) and law for the poor masses. The laws in Nigeria are not for the rich but for the poor masses in the society-where the rich go with their normal daily businesses and the poor messes are to obey the rules and keep the regulations.
In the definition of Government it mentioned “how power is shared among the members of the community”. This is another major problem in every state in Nigeria. Power continues to rotate among the same people year after year. Tell me why the country or the state will not be having problems? I call on the leaders to re-think and tell themselves the truth “No one beats a child and ask him or her not to cry”. The Government in general has beaten the masses and they are crying-what is the next step?
WHAT GOVERNMENT SHOULD DO
In this fact two, the government must attain to the needs of people and the basic requirements, requires from them as a body.
- To provide welfare services in the society in order to improve the quality of lives of its citizens-such as electricity, telephone, Pipe borne water, adequate medical services, educations not by mouth propaganda or for themselves alone.
- Creation of job opportunities by making it very possible for the lives of citizens worth living through the provision of gainful employment, skills and acquisitions.
- The Government must see to the maximum professions of its citizens at all cost by providing security agencies against external attacks as well internal insecurity.
- Powers must be shared equal in every states. Youths and women must be given equal rights to government to show equity and stability. Not only using them for campaigns.
- In every state-it is good to have an effective forum for the youths where their welfare and their futures are been discussed. Avoid neglecting the youths for they are the futures of tomorrow.
- Protections of farmers and availability of food in every state is another challenge government must look into speedily.
- For Nigeria to have its peace again- Killings of innocent men and women, children’s and youth must stop immediately.
- Let every state call for peace referendum all over Nigeria to seek the minds of people.
- The local governments must play their roles very well because they are the Government near to people. Draw the Government very close to people with an open minded heart to have a common feelings and understanding.
Lastly,there should be a sincere Youth empowerment among the youths,giving them monthly allowances as it in a developed Countries
