25th Coronation Anniversary: His Holiness Olumba Olumba Obu Honours Journalists

The grand finale of the 25th Coronation Anniversary of the Universal Monarch, His Holiness Olumba Olumba Obu, was marked by the conferment of honours on distinguished journalists in Cross River State.

The historic ceremony, held at the U.J. Esuene International Stadium on Sunday, drew a massive crowd of over 30,000 dignitaries, religious leaders, and faithful from across the globe excluding children.

Highlight of the event was the presentation of the King of Kings Silver Jubilee Journalists Award to several media professionals. Among the recipients were Comrade Archibong Bassey, Chairman of the Cross River State Council of the Nigerian Union of Journalists; Comrade Gill Nsa, Special Adviser to the Governor on Public Affairs and former Chief Press Secretary; Comrade Mike Abang, Council Secretary; Comrade Anietie Akpan; Comrade Vitalis Ugo; and Comrade Emma Okpong, among others.

The awards recognised their outstanding contributions to journalism and sustained coverage of the Brotherhood’s activities.
