Hello Champion šŸ†

I hope you’re doing well.

I’m reaching out to share a project I’m currently working on and to ask for your support. I am launching an art print campaign titled ā€œEmbraced,ā€ where each piece will be sold at $70 USD (covering production, packaging, and worldwide shipping).

The goal of this campaign is to generate funds to support my participation in the Landmark Forum, which commences on April 17, 2026. In preparation for this, I plan to acquire a 5G MTN broadband WiFi setup and a 1.2 kWh solar installation.

Due to inconsistent power supply and internet connectivity challenges here in Nigeria, this setup is essential, not only to participate smoothly in the program, but also to work efficiently, meet deadlines, and scale my creative output.
My goal is to raise $723 USD through the sale of 35 art prints before the end of April, with the funds ideally secured before April 17 (installation targeted by April 13, 2026).

For anyone who may wish to send support, my details are available upon request.

While the timeline is short, I am stepping forward in faith and action, trusting that this vision can be achieved.
I would deeply appreciate your support and even sharing this with your network would mean a lot.

ā€œFor with God nothing shall be impossible.ā€ — Luke 1:37

Yours faithfully,
Dare Timofe John

This is a drawing of my dear friend and partner, she means so much to me.
I dedicated a week to this, starting with a light emboss paper using H and B pencils for shading, then layering the hairstyle with charcoal and brush strokes to bring the clothing to life.
I love how it turned out, and I'm so proud of it!
Stay tuned, because I’ll be sharing some progress shots soon, so you can see how each layer came to life.
Stay tuned for that journey.

• The FOMO around AI
• Government taxation starting January 1, 2026
• Rising food and housing costs
• Graduates without jobs

Reflecting on these realities,
I carefully developed this cartoon to show how many of us are already imagining 2026.
The truth is, we don’t control reality, but our perception shapes how we respond to it.

My message is simple:
let’s face the challenges of 2026 with clarity, responsibility, and the right actions.

DARE, Timofe John
First Degree
B.Tech Building Technology
Class of 2024 šŸŽ“

I started my FUTA journey on 24th November 2019 and graduated on 14th November 2025.
Six years of hard work, prayers, and growth. Dreams achieved, gratitude overflowing.

Today, I stand at the end of a journey that tested every part of me, my strength, my faith, my endurance, and my belief in who I could become.

This cap and gown may look simple… but to me, they carry the weight of years of prayers whispered in tired moments, nights when sleep refused to come, mornings I wanted to give up, and days I pushed myself because I knew God hadn’t brought me this far to leave me.

Building Technology wasn’t just a course, it became a mirror that showed me my resilience, my growth, my scars, and my victories.
It taught me patience. It taught me discipline. And above all, it taught me to trust God’s timing.

Through challenges that stretched me thin, I stayed.
Through pressure that felt heavier than concrete, I stood.
Through moments of doubt and silence, I prayed.
And somehow, little by little, grace carried me to this finish line.

I’m grateful;
To God, for being my anchor.
To my Parents and my brothers and sister, for believing in me even on days I doubted myself.
To my int'l friend all over the world who supported me and encouraged me on this journey.
To my close friends, for the laughter, the encouragement, and the strength they poured into me.
And to myself, for fighting, for rising, for holding on when it felt easier to let go.

This is more than a graduation.
It is a reminder that beginnings often hide inside endings.

So here’s to the doors waiting to open…
to the opportunities I will build with my own hands…
and to the future that God has already prepared for me. šŸ„‚ā¤šŸŽ‰

A client discovered me through my Google Business Profile and he commissioned me to create this particular pencil portrait masterpiece and what a journey it has been.

I began the 16x12 inches artwork early in May and, over the course of two weeks of great dedication, I completed the drawing on the 21st of May, 2025.

From the very first grid line drawing to the light sketch, to the final deep tones shading with brushes, every part of this artwork was an intentional step.

I paid particular attention to how the light falls across the cheek and the glasses with the aid of my pencil eraser, capturing both clarity and softness; the texture and pattern of the fabric called A*O in Yoruba language. Weaving in fine lines of the IRO on the shoulder; and gentle strokes on the folds, patterns, and movement on the GELE.

Each stroke for me is a story of creation, I had to use the charcoal with heavier pressure, and when to use little pressure.

Two weeks may feel long, but for me, it’s the time needed to build my craft and I enjoyed every moment of it.
You can trust that the finished drawing is the culmination of a gradual process, not a rushed job.

Thanks to Mr. Rotimi, the founder of ROD initiative for this opportunity and a big thank you to everyone who has encouraged my work, your support truly matters.

I’m excited for the next piece that will come my way and I will continue exploring what pencil, paper, and creative observation can achieve.

If you’d like to talk about a commission portrait, book illustration, comic, or animation work.
I’d love to connect and explore how we can bring your vision to form.

Bringing African Heritage to Life Through Illustration:

I'm happy to share my latest project, where I had the wonderful opportunity to design an African inspired character for my client.

Using Adobe Illustrator and emphasis on the characters pant, I draw out the traditional African patterns into the character’s pants, creating a unique blend of culture and creativity.

I wish I could tell you the name of the character but that's confidential.

What made this project even more special was my attention to detail, from the left is a reflection of light (highlights) on the brown pant, with a blend of yellow and brown on the belt buckle and the highlight of white representing feathers and some yellow highlights as reflections of light..

I’m so happy about how this character (masterpieces) would turn out to be.
I'm also grateful for the creative freedom, I was able to use an artist brush just to make the shadow and highlight in a marvelous way.

This journey reflects my passion for storytelling and my commitment to bringing meaningful ideas and inspiration to life.

I will keep on sharing my progress,
Stay tuned for more updates!

*Headshot Illustration of Rob Hodes*

In July, I began working on a digital headshot illustration of Rob Hodes. An illustration project that quickly became one of the most meaningful pieces I’ve ever created. I wanted to do more than just illustrate his image; I wanted to capture his essence, the calm confidence in his eyes, the strength in his presence, and the quiet brilliance that defines him.

I used Adobe Illustrator, spending hours refining every line and tone. The precision of his suit, the balance of shadows and light on his suit, and the detailed illustration of his glasses were all carefully designed to reflect his character.
He is focused, intelligent, and refined.

I revisited the work multiple times throughout July and August, using different layers of color until details.
I finally completed this masterpiece in the month of August.

Looking at the finished masterpiece Rob in his blue suit and red tie, looking poised and self-assured.
I felt a deep sense of fulfillment.

It wasn’t just a portrait; it was a reflection of strength, vision, and authenticity.

Throughout this project, Rob was incredibly supportive and professional.
He responded promptly, shared thoughtful feedback, and showed a level of trust that made collaboration seamless.

In addition, I want to appreciate Elizabeth (My Godmother) for connecting me with Rob.
She contributed a lot to the success of this project.
Her encouragement and insight didn’t just shape this artwork (masterpiece). She helped me grow as an artist and as a person.

Working on this project reminded me why I create: to tell stories through art, to honor character, and to celebrate the unique gifts that make each of us extraordinary.

Yours sincerely,
Dare Timofe John
