Who is a real man?
WHO IS A REAL MAN??
Plan no more than 9 tasks for the day—1 important one that requires a lot of time, 3 secondary ones that are not difficult, and 5 minor ones.
How does this work?
One of the most effective rules for those suffering from an inability to plan their tasks properly is the so-called 1-3-5 rule. According to this rule, no more than 9 tasks should be planned for the day. This way, it will be possible to complete 4 fairly important tasks and there will be time for 5 small tasks (which, however, should not be forgotten) - for example, pick up a suit from the dry cleaner or pay bills.
Unfortunately, making to-do lists is not a panacea for those who have problems with completing tasks on time or at all. The difficulty may be that the list of tasks is too large or unstructured. In this case, the 1–3–5 rule is an excellent solution to the problem. There is also a similar 3+2 rule, but basically it is just variations of the same way to organize your tasks and the time planned for them (you can even make your own system: 1–2–3, 2–4–9 and so on to infinity depending on your lifestyle and the number of tasks that have to be done every day).
This rule works because it helps prioritize and divide time between tasks depending on their importance. It also helps in case of unexpected changes to the daily schedule or the sudden appearance of important tasks to easily understand which tasks can be moved and which ones shouldn't be delayed today.
Today it seems like everyone is overwhelmed with endless lists of tasks to be solved. You wake up in the morning, start working, work, work, and at the end of the day you realize you have no idea what you accomplished in the end. You know you worked and did some tasks, but it seems like you didn't finish anything. It's so disheartening!"
Making endless to-do lists only leads to procrastination. What's the point of them if they don't bring any benefit? What's the sense if you have to work all day anyway? Sound familiar? I've been fighting this all my life. To be productive, you need to see the result of each day, there must be light at the end of the tunnel, to know that in the end you will have time to spend on yourself.
In the morning you know that you need to do tasks a, b, c, d, e. But then something goes wrong with task b, and it takes much more time than you expected. Consequently, you can't finish c and d, and in the end you feel like you haven't done enough work.
