I usually stay out of public drama, but I cannot remain silent on this. A few days ago, Ejura shared that she’s been in Lagos since 2014, feels completely exhausted, and has decided to return home.

Personally, I respect her courage. The moment you stop worrying about "what people will say," you’ve already won half of life’s battles.

What disturbs me, however, is the cruelty in the comment section. Grown men are making disgusting assumptions, claiming she’s leaving because she’s old and unmarried, accusing her of relying on "sugar daddies," who are no longer sponsoring and some were offering her accommodation only in exchange for s€€###. This lady is clearly struggling, yet these heartless individuals choose to kick her while she’s down?

Why do women face such intense hostility here? Do these men not have mothers, sisters, female friends or daughters? When a man disrespects a woman unprovoked, it speaks volume about how he views the women in his entire family. I said what I said👌

Furthermore, assuming she is "old" and staying on her own simply because she was in Lagos in 2014 is completely baseless, many of us were still teenagers back then.. People need to stop making vile assumptions.

I am glad Ejura is matching their energy. I refuse to tell her to "ignore them", “that’s their opinion” or "be the bigger person." Sometimes, foolishness deserves a direct response. Telling victims of harassment to "just ignore it" only enables bad behavior and I’m not an enabler or a self righteous person.

Ejura, I wish I were in a position to assist you financially right now, but I am fully behind you. Stand firm in your decision, rebuild your life, and trust that God will connect you with the right support. May genuine helpers locate you. Amen
