OVERFLOWING TESTIMONIES

Introduction

Everyone loves a testimony. A testimony is the visible evidence of God's invisible hand at work in a person's life. However, God does not want His children to merely have occasional testimonies; He desires that our lives overflow with testimonies.

An overflowing testimony is a testimony that exceeds expectations, silences critics, strengthens believers, and glorifies God.

When God blesses, He does not think in measures; He thinks in abundance.

The same God who filled the nets of Peter until they almost broke, filled water pots with miraculous wine, and fed thousands with a few loaves is still the God of overflowing testimonies today.

Key Thought:
God specializes in turning ordinary situations into extraordinary testimonies.

POINT 1: GOD IS THE SOURCE OF OVERFLOWING TESTIMONIESp

Scripture

Psalm 126:1-3

"When the Lord turned again the captivity of Zion..."

Notice that the testimony began with God. Human effort did not bring the breakthrough; God did.

Many people seek testimonies while ignoring the Testimony Giver.

Before God changes your situation, He often changes your perspective, faith, and dependence on Him.

Illustration

Imagine a dry farmland during a season of drought.

Farmers may work hard, but unless rain falls from heaven, the harvest will not come.

Likewise, there are situations where only God can send the rain that produces overflowing testimonies.

Application

- Stop trusting solely in human connections.
- Stop depending only on your abilities.
- Put your confidence in God.

When God steps into your situation, impossibilities begin to surrender.

POINT 2: OVERFLOWING TESTIMONIES OFTEN BEGIN IN A SEASON OF CAPTIVITY

Before there was laughter, there was captivity.
Before there was celebration, there was struggle.

Many believers want the testimony but dislike the process.

The greatest testimonies are often born from the greatest battles.

Joseph was thrown into a pit, sold into slavery, and imprisoned before becoming Prime Minister.

His testimony overflowed because his trial was severe.

A butterfly cannot emerge without struggling through the cocoon.

The struggle is not proof of failure; it is preparation for transformation.

- Don't quit during difficult seasons.
- God may be preparing a testimony larger than your present pain.

POINT 3: OVERFLOWING TESTIMONIES PRODUCE PUBLIC EVIDENCE OF GOD'S POWER

Psalm 126:2

"Then said they among the heathen, The Lord hath done great things for them."

The testimony became so obvious that even unbelievers noticed.

When God blesses a person, He does not need public relations officers.

The evidence speaks for itself.

You do not need to announce the sunrise.

When the sun rises, everyone sees the light.

Likewise, when God lifts a person, the evidence becomes visible.

The man born blind in John 9.

People argued about theology, but nobody could deny that he now saw.

Application

Pray for testimonies that point people to God rather than yourself.

The best testimony is one that makes people talk about God, not merely about you.

POINT 4: OVERFLOWING TESTIMONIES REQUIRE THANKSGIVING

Scripture

Psalm 126:2-3

"Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing."

Grateful people experience greater manifestations of God's goodness.

Many believers remember their problems more than their blessings.

Thanksgiving preserves testimonies and prepares the way for greater ones.

Biblical Example

Luke 17:11-19

Ten lepers were healed, but only one returned to give thanks.

Jesus noticed the difference.

Illustration

A grateful child receives more opportunities because gratitude reveals maturity and appreciation.

Application

- Keep a testimony journal.
- Thank God daily.
- Share what God has done.

Thanksgiving is the language of people who expect more from God.

CONCLUSION

God wants your life to become a living billboard of His goodness.

Whatever looks impossible today is not beyond God's power.

The same God who:

- Delivered Israel,
- Promoted Joseph,
- Restored Job,
- Filled Peter's nets,
- Turned water into wine,

is still working today.

Your present struggle is not your final chapter.

God is preparing a testimony that will overflow beyond your expectations.

The people who saw you cry will see you rejoice.
The place where you suffered defeat will become the place of celebration.
The season of waiting will give birth to a season of overflowing testimonies.

He Sold LUCK BEADS, She Sold AKARA. Who Won?

Welcome to Ajegunle, Lagos a place where the sun works overtime, and everyone is chasing a dream. This is the story of two paths: the shortcut paved with false promises, and the long road built by sweat and discipline.

Meet Uncle Tunde, a professional dreamer and part-time businessman who specializes in half-truths and chasing wealth that runs faster than him. Tunde’s life was defined by credit sales, borrowed kola nuts, and a desperate search for the easy way out. One dry Tuesday, facing a flat wallet and a flat tire, his cousin Bola brought him news of a 'destiny' seller in Oshodi Market a man offering **instant luck beads for just five-hundred naira. The beads seemed to work! Soon, customers like Madam Ibe were buying blenders, and old debts were being paid. Success, it seemed, had finally moved into his pocket. Word spread faster than Lagos traffic rumors, and Uncle Tunde quickly pivoted to a new hustle: the Ajegunle-to-Oshodi Bead Express, turning into the village’s unofficial spiritual travel agent. Ladi the Barber gossiped, and Miss Funke the schoolteacher shook her head, but soon, half the village had beads; the other half had regret. This quick wealth scheme** was contagious, replacing common sense with wishful thinking.

The stakes were raised when Mr. Nwabueze, a major businessman, announced he would invest in local Ajegunle entrepreneurs. Why you must have your own money as a woman ♀️

This writeup is going to be raw and some females might find it as if I am attacking them but my intention is to save you from the timed bomb that you are sitting on. Therefore I beg you to take it as advice instead of attack.

My job as a proud preacher/teacher of the gospel is to inject you with words which may not sit well (might hurt you) for now, but will in the long run be of benefit to you (save your life physically and spiritually).

Some days back I was bored and I had been home for one week without even stepping out of my door. So I decided to go and see my daughter (not biological) whose birthday was on the 15th of this month. After having some time with her and her mother I decided to go inside to play snooker with people I knew when I was there doing business last year.

While I was playing, the guy I was playing with made a statement that I was both embarrassed first as a man and secondly as a human. The place is a sit out business centre, a lady walked in, very beautiful and balanced I must say. The guy was like "see how pretty she is, all I need is money and I will just give it to her and sleep with her as I like; all she needs is money". That talk was very dirty in my ears, he expected me to say something but he didn't know who I am that I don't talk like that.

If you see the guy who made that statement and compare him with the lady, forget about what he might become tomorrow, in reality he doesn't have the quality to even stand in front of the lady and talk more of him talking to her about sleeping with her. What gave him the right to say that? It's still the ladies.

They have reduced their values to the point that even a mad man can have them provided he gives them money. You might think the guy was wrong until you give him the money he wanted and watch the lady cheapen herself for him without thinking twice.

If ladies of these days take this saying that "there's dignity in labour" seriously and choose to work with their hands, they will see their values skyrocket like the price of bitcoin. Before a man will approach you he will sit back and calculate and put his words, character and act right first. But when he is conscious that money can easily buy you, he can be anything and believe that he can still get you because all that it takes to get you is money.

There is a woman I admire and respect so much that she might not even know how much I admire her. She is Mrs Theresa Uduakobong Ebong. I love her hustling spirit. She is into events planning, sales of health products, Jewellery that she can customize based on the customer preferences, quality engagement and wedding rings (which I will proudly patronise her when I have found a wife material), and will recommend her to friends who need quality.

She, among other women, has made me proud. She doesn't wait to depend on her husband who is actually capable of providing for her, but she chooses to hustle even more.

The good thing about establishing yourself as a woman even if your husband is well to do is:
1. One you have control of money and can get whatever you want when you want it without waiting for a man whom you would need to write an essay to explain to him what you need the money for.
2. If your husband loses his job or even dies, you will not suddenly become an object of pity or even a beggar because you are not used to having your own money, so hustling becomes strange to you.
3. Women can also leave inheritance for their children and children's children.

Anything can happen, this is life and no matter how much you God forbid it, certain things can't just be changed.

As an international husband that I want to be, when I am married, if I will still be in Nigeria, I will literally hold my wife's hand and take her to Mrs. Theresa Uduakobong Ebong and beg her to coach my wife in business for me.

A woman with money is a woman of value and self worth. No reef raft can stand before you to say nonsense because of money. You will have the opportunity to select and choose what you like, not that you have no other choice.

You have heard what you have been trending online lately about Regina Daniels and her husband? If it wasn't greed for money she would have been with someone who loves her, not someone who bought her. I don't know if the rumour is true or not, but they are having issues of global concern now as I heard.

When I have money I will establish all my sisters to the best of my ability and no one will be able to say nonsense to them.

If you women don't place value on yourselves, if you keep cheapening yourselves for money just to buy clothes, hairs and phones, and probably traveling and "living the life"; a time will come that reality will set in and you will know then that life is not about clothes, wigs, phones and travelling.

If you don't carry a disease that would cut you short, you will face a life in the next five to ten years that would make you realise that all those years you wasted for hookup you should have invested it in something that would dignify you and establish you.

It's never too late to change. You might be the reason God has inspired me to write this. Change for your own good, you are better than what you have made of yourself.

🔥 WHEN FIRE ENTERS MARRIAGE... (A Survival Guide)

Once upon a time, marriage was heaven's masterpiece.

It was sacred. Holy. A mirror of God’s perfect order: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit all in divine, unbreakable harmony. No competition, no confusion, no abuse. Just love, purpose, and perfect alignment.
That's the family pattern that God intended to be repeated on earth by humans (man and his woman 👠). ✝️

But today?

The moment you dare to say, “I want to get married,” the congratulations stop. Instead, people look at you with pity and sigh, “May God help you.” 😔

Marriage used to be a shining testimony. Now, it’s a terrifying test of survival.

The Innocence That Was Lost

I remember years ago, a lady told me, “Ubong, you’re too simple and harmless. I pray God gives you a woman who won’t destroy you.”

At the time, I laughed it off. But now... I understand the chilling fear behind her prayer.

Why? Because in our generation, the fear of God has vanished. Morality is called "old-fashioned." The average teenager has seen too much, known too much, and lost the innocence required to build true, lasting love.

So when they walk down the aisle, peace becomes impossible.

We’ve swapped commitment for convenience. We marry for gain, not for grace. And the moment the benefit ends, love doesn't just fade it explodes into bitterness and violence.

That’s why the joke now goes: “Before marriage, buy a fire extinguisher.” 🔥

What were once warm love stories are now burning headlines. Homes are on fire. Lives are destroyed. Marriages have become crime scenes.

Stop Buying the Lie of "Endurance"

Hear this truth: A broken relationship is infinitely better than a buried marriage.

Did you see red flags while dating? Don’t ignore them just to prove you can “endure” or to avoid being single.

* If he was violent before marriage, he won’t magically become gentle after.
* If she was manipulative before marriage, she won’t become submissive later.

You don’t heal broken people with a marriage certificate; you only magnify who they already are. That is why God warns us: “Be not unequally yoked.”

A Prison or a Purpose?

Marriage is not meant to kill you. It is meant to refine you.

It is not a prison; it is a purpose. And when you build it without God, it collapses with unimaginable pain.

So please, for the sake of your soul:

1. Don’t rush into it just because you’re lonely.
2. Don’t marry because everyone else is.
3. And most importantly, never stay where you are constantly abused emotionally or physically simply because "you don’t want to be single."

No one will go to hell for dying single. But many are already living in hell because of the wrong marriage. 💔

How my visitor ate cockroach like meat in my house 😔.

Sometime ago in 2021 when I started living alone, the house was an abandoned property that I have put in money, energy and my skills and someone who was studying Engineering. From electrical connections, to painting, carpentry work, and the rest of the things; I handled them because I didn't have money to pay someone else to do them. Besides, why should I even pay when I can handle it?

The house had a lot of work. The first day I saw it a ran because it was something that you can't easily fixed. It was a place that birds built their nests, layed eggs 🥚, hash and left and the circle continued. The water inside the room was enough to start a fish pond. It was tèrrible 😔.

I am a kind of person who doesn't run from challenges, I mean the once that demands skills, intelligent and creativity. I love those kinds of challenges. So I decided that I was going to renovate the place, after all I wasn't going to pay for it. I didn't have money but I am very skilled and creative too, so I used the little money I had to buy woods, and other materials that were very important.

The room was designed to be a master room so it was very big. There was toilet and bathroom already, so I decided to divide the big room to get a kitchen and a store. I didn't and the part that was to be my room was still big enough for me. The kitchen and the store were spacious too. So I started living there with a pillow, a bedspread and my living body. After everything I was a proud owner of 300 Naira with no food anywhere.

The floor of the house was rough and dusty because they hoped to tile it. That's how I started collecting used programmes flex and used them as my carpet. I used cartons as my bed as I didn't have foam or even mat.

As for food it didn't bother me at all because I was already used to being hungry, so automatically I knew that I will survive hunger with my 300 Naira until I have another money.

Some months later my friends from school decided to visit me especially for food because I knew that I don't eat outside so I always cook when I have money.

That's how one of my course mates who was very close to me visited to eat. It was already 7pm and her house was 5 Naira fair away by then ooo! So she came and I offered her food. I cooked Okro soup and used it to eat rice. That's what I offered her and something bàd happened.

At that time of the night my room was dark 🌑 and as someone who just started life, I didn't have any lights source except from my phone. I put the rice 🍚 and used the soup 🍲 as stew for her and she started eating. I am a good cook so I always feel good when someone eat what I cook, especially the females.

When I thought I was doing well, she spewed out the 3rd spoon 🥄 she took. All these while I have off my phone light because there was no light in the building, so even if NEPA would give light I still will not have it. But when that happened I quickly put on the torch 🔦 of my phone and behold, she has eaten a life cockroach 🪳 from the soup 🍲. I was so embarrassed 😳 I didn't know where to hide my face. I apologise to her a million times over.

I tried to persuade her to continue eating but that was it, she left. I wasn't angry that she let because we weren't in any for of relationship or romance, she was going to leave after all when she had finished eating. But they disappointment and anger in which she left with got me concerned.

When I went to check the soup 🍲 brethren and sisthren, I saw like 10 cockroaches in the soup 🍲. One mind told me to throw the soup away, but lack of another food or money remained me that if I try it, hunger will finish me. I took them out of the soup, warmed it up, made Garri and ate it. I am still alive since 2021 to share this experience with you.
