MANY NOW HOMELESS IN NASARAWA 💔😢
I write with a heavy heart as devastation continues in Udege Development Area, Nasarawa LGA. The repeated attacks on Ajiri communities are destroying lives, homes, and livelihoods leaving many families with nothing.
In the last 24 hours, the situation has worsened. Security operatives briefly arrived in Gidan Ogiri, giving hope, but withdrew by evening leaving communities exposed. By morning, fresh attacks hit Akyawa Baka and Udege-Kasa. Lives were lost, homes burned, and survivors left homeless.
What makes this even more painful is the lack of urgent action at the local level. Communities are left vulnerable despite clear threats. This is not just negligence it is a failure to protect the people.
This is a desperate call for immediate government intervention. We need lasting security, not temporary presence. People cannot continue to live in fear, unsure of their safety each night.
Today it is Gidan Ogiri, Akyawa Baka, and Udege Kasa, but if nothing is done, more communities will suffer.
Action must be taken now before it’s too late.
