2026 KII MEMORIAL AWARDS
AUDIENCE PRIZE — PUBLIC VOTING
The Audience Prize for the 8th Edition of the KII Memorial Awards will be determined through public engagement with each finalist's official competition video.

Voting Opens: August 19, 2026
Voting Closes: September 18, 2026 at 11:59 PM (Nigeria Time)

The finalist with the highest number of verified eligible engagements at the close of voting will receive the:

AUDIENCE PRIZE
₦5,000 + Certificate

HOW TO SUPPORT A FINALIST
For your support to count toward the Audience Prize, you must complete ALL THREE actions on the official competition platform:

SUBSCRIBE/FOLLOW the official Philharmonics Foundation page.

LIKE the finalist's official competition video.

COMMENT on the finalist's official competition video.

All three requirements must be completed for the engagement to qualify.

IMPORTANT RULES
Only engagement received between August 19 and September 15, 2026 will be considered.

Voting closes promptly at 11:59 PM Nigeria Time on September 15, 2026.

Multiple comments by the same person will not count as multiple votes.

Fake, automated, purchased, or otherwise manipulated engagement will not be counted.

Engagement received after the deadline will not be considered.

The Philharmonics Foundation for Music and Arts reserves the right to verify engagement before declaring the winner.

The result of the Audience Prize is separate from the adjudicating panel's decision for the principal KII Memorial Award.

The Audience Prize winner will be announced as part of the 8th KII Memorial Awards Final on September 19, 2026.

The application and selection period has concluded, and we are pleased to move forward to the Final of the 8th Edition of the Kingsley Inuope Idegun (KII) Memorial Awards.

This year's competition will culminate in one virtual Final on September 19, 2026, featuring the selected finalists.

🏆 2026 KII Memorial Award
One Winner — ₦55,000 + Certificate

Additional distinctions:

🎼 Olusegun Soyemi Prize — ₦10,000 + Certificate
For the Best Early Music aria or song presented

The Philharmonics Foundation for Music and Arts is seeking passionate singers to join our chorus for upcoming an performance in August 2026 and a possible December 2026 production.

WE ARE CURRENTLY RECRUITING:

🎵 Sopranos
🎵 Tenors
🎵 Basses

WHO CAN APPLY?

✓ You have a pleasant singing voice.
✓ You are committed, disciplined, and willing to learn.
✓ Ability to read music is an advantage but not required.
✓ Experience singing in a church choir is welcome.
✓ Previous participation in formal choral ensembles is not necessary.

PREFERENCE WILL BE GIVEN TO APPLICANTS WHO:

⭐ Are based in Abuja or Lagos
⭐ Can commit to regular rehearsals and performances
⭐ Have some choral experience or can read music

PLEASE NOTE:

Participation in this project should be motivated by a commitment to artistic excellence, personal growth, and collaborative music-making rather than financial gain.
