ETSU NUPE PAYS COURTESY VISIT TO ETSU KWALI WHILE ON TRANSIT FROM KOGI STATE
The Etsu Nupe and Chairman of the Niger State Council of Traditional Chiefs, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, CFR, made a brief courtesy stop in Kwali today Friday 7th August 2026 to pay homage to the Etsu Kwali, Etsu Luka Ayedo Nizzasson III, while returning from Gegu in Kogi State.
The revered monarch, who was passing through Kwali on his way back to Nupe land, took time out of his journey to exchange pleasantries with his royal counterpart, in a gesture that reflected the deep-rooted respect traditional rulers hold for one another across the region.
Etsu Ayedo Luka Nizzasson III received the Etsu Nupe warmly, and the two royal fathers shared a moment of fellowship marked by mutual admiration before Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar continued on his journey.
Although brief, the visit underscored the cordial ties between the two traditional stools and reaffirmed the spirit of unity, cooperation, and mutual respect that continues to bind royal institutions together across Niger and the federal capital territory FCT- Abuja.
It is not out of place to say that the gesture is a fitting reminder of the enduring role traditional rulers play in fostering peace, goodwill, and inter-communal harmony within the region.
