Happy Democracy Day to all Nigerians.
Today, we celebrate our democratic journey, the resilience of our people, and the sacrifices of those who fought for the freedom and rights we enjoy as a nation. Democracy remains our collective commitment to justice, accountability, participation, and the rule of law.
As we commemorate this important day, we cannot ignore the serious challenges confronting our nation, particularly the rising insecurity, kidnapping, banditry, and violent crimes that continue to threaten lives, livelihoods, and national unity. Many families live in fear, communities have been displaced, and countless citizens continue to call for greater protection and safety.
While these challenges test our resolve, they must not weaken our faith in Nigeria. Instead, they should strengthen our determination to work together as citizens and leaders to build a safer, more secure, and more prosperous nation for all.
On this Democracy Day, let us renew our commitment to peace, unity, and national development. Let us support efforts that promote security, justice, and good governance. Above all, let us continue to believe in the promise of Nigeria and the strength of her people.
May hope overcome fear, may peace prevail over violence, and may our democracy continue to grow stronger with each passing year.
