They said several preachers tried to reach them, but they always drove them away. One day, while drinking and smoking in a jungle, a man and woman came to preach to them, but they chased them away too.
Then came the night that changed everything.
At about 7:35 PM on October 10, 2010, while sitting in a friend's house, one of the twins heard a voice say:
🗣️ "Will you suffer here and still go and suffer in hell?"
Shocked, he repeated the words aloud. Moments later, he found himself talking about heaven, hell, and Jesus Christ—things he didn't even understand at the time.
His twin brother listened and replied:
🗣️ "What you are saying is the absolute truth."
That conviction hit them instantly.
They decided to cut off their dreadlocks that same night. When one barber refused because he admired their hair, they searched for another and got it cut immediately.
The next day, they picked up their parents' Bibles and began preaching on the streets, in markets, and even to prostitutes from house to house.
What started with just two former criminals preaching the Gospel grew into 13 evangelists, then nearly 80 youths carrying 12 megaphones and spreading the message of Christ.
Today, they remain committed to one message:
✝️ "Jesus Christ is still the solution to humanity. If He could change us, He can change anybody."

“I witnessed something today that I have never seen in my entire life. The kind of thing I'll tell my children and grandchildren about.
We joined the ‘Save Our Children’ and ‘Bandits Must Go’ protest. Everything was peaceful. We marched, got to the governor’s house, and the governor even addressed us.
As we were leaving, VDM was already ahead of the crowd when suddenly people started shouting:
‘They are coming with cutlasses!’
Everybody scattered. I won't lie, I ran too. I quickly moved to the roadside and pretended to be an ordinary passerby.
Then I saw them.
Men carrying cutlasses, sticks, and bottles. I was shocked. Throughout the protest, nobody among us was carrying weapons or causing trouble. So where did these people suddenly come from?
They started throwing objects. Panic everywhere.
But the craziest part?

VDM DID NOT RUN.
Instead of fleeing, he turned around and charged towards them. Kokopee followed him. Protesters who had already taken off suddenly stopped, turned back, and joined them.
Before long, the alleged attackers reportedly retreated.

Now I keep asking myself:
Who sent them?
Why would a peaceful protest demanding the rescue of kidnapped children be disrupted like this?
