Last night we had the privilege of watching a deeply moving documentary directed by Christy — “Uncle Sunday .”
It tells the real-life journey of Donny, once a man battling depression, who slowly transformed into “Uncle Sunday” — a clown carrying joy, purpose, and healing wherever he goes.
No exaggeration — the room was quiet, and by the end, almost everyone had tears in their eyes.
This wasn’t just a film about clowning.
It was about mental health.
It was about identity.
It was about choosing purpose over pain.
To see someone walk from darkness into light, and then become light for others — that hits different.
Uncle Sunday didn’t just put on a red nose.
He put on responsibility.
He chose to serve.
He chose to heal while healing himself.
If you’ve ever been touched by Uncle Sunday — whether through laughter, a performance, a workshop, or even a simple conversation — we would love to hear your story.
