Capturing characters through potrait sketches and paintings is so interesting to explore. Digital art is ideal for that simply because it's so easy to do. So here I am now exploring and meeting up with interesting people like this person from France, Mohammad. He converted to Islam when he was 22 years old. "I have been a Muslim for 50 years now....". We chatted through the night with clouds of smokes......###xx

Hi, here is my latest charcoal drawing based from my recent visit to Larut, Perak once were famous for their tin mines.
This drawing is dedicated to my grandfather Haji Mustapha Ha who were once worked in the tin mines in Larut district.

It's always good to explore new materials and it really pays well....the reflective surfaced gold artboard really bursts with the viewer's mirror like reflection. It titled "Family Tree".

According to the old malay beliefs, if you can see swarms of fireflies around your area of land....there should be golds beneath the soil. I don't know how true it is. Nowadays fireflies gets so difficult to see due to modern developments. Maybe our 'golds' are gone now!!
