Bangkok, you were good to me. 🇹🇭
Just got back from Art Fair at The StandardX, Bangkok Phra Arthit and honestly, I had a really good time.
There’s something quite nice about putting your work in a room and watching people react to it without knowing what they’re going to say.
Some people looked at the paintings for a long time. Some came closer. Some asked questions. Some just stood there quietly looking slightly confused. Which, to be fair, is also a perfectly valid reaction to my work. 😂
A lot of my paintings are about how we look at each other, how we present ourselves, and how much of ourselves gets distorted along the way.
So being surrounded by actual people looking at the work felt quite appropriate.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by, had a chat, bought a piece, asked about the work, or simply spent a few minutes with it.
And thank you Mango Art Festival for the invitation.
