My second activity is happening at Taman Pertanian Sabah, 12–20 September! I’ll be part of the 𝗦𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗵 𝗙𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗮 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗙𝗿𝘂𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 as a 𝗷𝘂𝗱𝗴𝗲, 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗰𝗼-𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼-𝗯𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗵, together with Tangan Keramat Art and Penggiat Seni Visual Tenom.

I’m also excited to be a guest judge for the 𝐌𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐫𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, judging alongside Rezza Nizza from Tangan Keramat Art!

Heyoooo everyone! 👋✨

September is going to be a pretty exciting month for me, with lots of cultural, agriculture, artsy fun and activities happening back in my hometown, Tenom! 🌾🎨🏮

I’ll be revealing them bit by bit, so let’s start with the first activity! 👀

This 24 Sept, I’ll be conducting an art workshop at SMJK Chung Hwa Tenom, organised in conjunction with their Mid-Autumn / Mooncake Festival activity! 🥮🏮

And of course, a big thank you to Sakura Color Malaysia and g'softpen.com for supporting the workshop by providing stationery for the students to use!

More activities coming soon… This month is going to be a fun one! 😆✨

💙 Happy Birthday, ドラえもんチャンネル ! 🎂✨

Every 3rd September is the birthday of the blue robot cat who has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. 💙

Honestly, without Doraemon, I don’t think many of my doodles, random funny puns, silly stories and little adventures would have happened. Somehow, Doraemon has always been one of those characters that brings my creativity and imagination to life. 🥹✏️

And there’s one line from Doraemon that has stayed with me till today:

「一番いけないのは、自分なんかダメだって思い込むことだよ。」

Ichiban ikenai no wa, jibun nanka dame da tte omoikomu koto da yo.

“Thinking you’re worthless is the worst thing you can do.”

That sentence stuck with me. Because sometimes, we can be our own biggest critic. We may feel that we're not good enough, talented enough, or that our little creations don't matter.

But maybe… we just need to keep drawing, keep creating, and keep believing. 💙

Thank you, Doraemon, for all the laughs, inspiration, and childhood memories ... and for quietly reminding me not to give up on myself.

Once again, Happy Birthday, to my favourite and my childhood hero, Doraemon 🎂💙

Now… where’s my Anywhere Door? 😂🚪✨

🌫️ The haze is back… and it’s not exactly the kind of “smoke” we want. 🥲

With the affecting parts of Borneo again, here’s a little reminder on what prolonged exposure can do to our bodies and some simple precautions we can take.

This year, I decided to create two separate artworks for Sabah Day and Merdeka Day because both hold their own significant place in our history. ❤️

69 years of the Nation's Merdeka, and 63 years of Sabah's Independance, the two milestones that remind us of where we came from, the people who shaped us, and the journey we continue to walk together.

It’s a simple sketch, but an impactful one. As an artist, I feel these moments are worth drawing, remembering and celebrating in our own little way.

Here’s to our stories, our diversity, our home… and many more chapters to come. ❤️

Last weekend at Borneo Animation & Games Festival x Otakyun in Kuching, I got to share something a little different! 🎨

Usually my sharing sessions focus on my traditional art & Doodle side, but this time, I went into my digital art journey which began from my comic blogger days to today. It was really fun sharing the journey and experiences with everyone! 😆One question that stood out was how I think about AI.

To me, AI is meant to assist humans. But ultimately, its impact depends on how we build it and, more importantly, how we choose to use it. I also believe in creating something so uniquely yours (Non AI) that people can recognise your style right away. I’m still figuring out my own style, but I guess many of you have already decided what the “Kendylife style” is… and I’m really grateful for that. ❤️ Before we ended the session, I even joked that:
I’d rather have AI wash my clothes while I draw, than have AI draw while I wash the clothes. 🤣
