UTAR Sungai Long Chinese Orchestra 雙溪龍拉曼大學華樂團 - Utarslco It is formed by UTARIANs from different places and these students share their passion and together, convey the idea of traditional Chinese music to the public.

双溪龙拉曼大学华乐团成立于2015年6月。乐团的五声部组分别为拉弦、弹拨、吹管、低音以及敲击。乐团自成立以来参与了不少活动演出，校内小型演出、校外协办演奏会、交流会、集训营等等。除此之外，乐团也在2016年迎来了第一位指挥导师兼顾问，吴宏立老师。华乐团不只局限于演奏传统中华音乐，更尝试演奏不同类型的音乐曲风，而这些音乐都由吴宏立老师编曲。

Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman Sungai Long Chinese Orchestra (UTARSLCO) was established in June 2015. Instruments in the orchestra can be divided into five main categories: bowed strings, plucked

strings, wind, bass, and percussion. Since its establishment, the Chinese Orchestra has participated in many activities such as musical showcases, sharing sessions, and training camps. In 2016, the orchestra invited Mr. Goh Hong Lip to become their very first instructor and advisor. UTARSLCO does perform not only traditional Chinese music but also different types of music styles that are written by Mr. Goh. This presents a whole new image and changes the traditional mindset the public has toward Chinese music. For more inquiries, please contact: [email protected]
