The Day of Arafah is one of the most important days in Islam, especially during the first 10 days of Dhul Hijjah. Muslims increase dua, dhikr, repentance, and asking Allah for forgiveness and mercy.
1. The Best Dua on the Day of Arafah
This is the most recommended dhikr for Arafah:
Transliteration:
Meaning:
“There is no god but Allah alone, without partner. To Him belongs the dominion and praise, and He has power over all things.”
The Prophet ﷺ said this is the best dua recited by him and the prophets before him on the Day of Arafah.
2. Dua for Forgiveness
Transliteration:
Allahumma innaka ‘afuwwun tuhibbul ‘afwa fa’fu ‘anni.
Meaning:
“O Allah, You are Most Forgiving and love forgiveness, so forgive me.”
3. Sayyidul Istighfar (Best Dua for Seeking Forgiveness)
Transliteration:
Allahumma anta rabbi la ilaha illa ant...
This is one of the greatest duas of repentance.
4. Dua for Good in This Life and the Next
Transliteration:
Rabbana atina fid-dunya hasanah wa fil-akhirati hasanah wa qina ‘adhaban-nar.
Meaning:
“Our Lord, give us good in this world and good in the Hereafter and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.”
5. Powerful Personal Duas
On Arafah, make lots of personal dua for:

Speak to Allah sincerely in your own language too.
Repeat often:
