🚫 This is a very difficult decision, but you must know the truth. 🙏🏻 It is impossible to hold the contest in the current situation!

Do you know that the BADC was created in Russia in 2011? Enthusiasts from all over the world - organizers, jury and participants - have done a huge amount of useful work, the results of which can now be used by everyone. There is a lot of useful and inspiring information on our YouTube, in the magazine and on the website.

In 2022, when the last competition took place, hostilities began, in which my country is actively participating. I immediately ran into difficulties:

1. Some members of the jury refused to evaluate for political reasons, putting me in an awkward position. It is difficult to replace specialists of this level within a week. I had to evaluate the aquariums with a reduced composition.
2. On my page, I encountered aggression from people with whom until recently we only talked about aquariums. Now it has become important to them that I am Russian, although I don't support any of the parties involved in the hostilities.
3. At some point, Facebook and Instagram were blocked in Russia. Working with an international audience has become difficult. Especially when you get a lot of aggression.
4. Postal communication with many countries was closed, which created difficulties with sending diplomas and journals to competition participants.
5. PayPal has stopped working in Russia, which means that it is no longer possible to receive payments or send magazines to other countries.
6. YouTube channel monetization has been disabled.
7. The audience of the competition is very large, but I had difficulty raising money to cover expenses and remunerate participants. International aquarium brands don't realize the importance of biotope aquarium keeping.

The situation that was happening frustrated me. Everything connected with the competition now caused me disappointment.

Nevertheless, I continue to develop aquarium hobby in Russia. I am organizing educational events for children and adults.

Continue to study natural biotopes and love Biotope Aquariums! Life hasn't stopped!
