ā€ŽWhat a president,
ā€ŽCleaning the country.
ā€ŽYes, he was a double-edged sword;
ā€ŽHis tongue was his weapon.
ā€Ž
ā€ŽHis voice rolled like a lion,
ā€ŽHis face fierce like a leopard.
ā€ŽNever let his emperor go hungry,
ā€ŽHe fought the Westerners.
ā€Ž
ā€ŽRose from the people of Kasungu,
ā€ŽNever let tribe divide the nation.
ā€ŽHard to understand like superstition,
ā€ŽA man remembered through generations.
ā€Ž
ā€Žhe grant Nyasaland, colonial free

LOVE STORY (Spoken Word)

By the roadsideā€¦
yeahā€”by the roadside,

I stood there,
watching the sunset slowly bleed into the skyā€¦

And thenā€”
there she was.

A masterpiece.

Not painted,
not sculptedā€¦
but breathing.

Alive.

And somehowā€¦
she stole my gaze.

I didnā€™t even fight it.

My hand reached for hersā€”
like it already knew herā€¦
like it had been waiting.

And in that momentā€¦
my soul?

Yeahā€”my soul left my body.

(brief pause)

Yes!!
A short girlā€¦
with golden hair
flowing down her back like light itself.

And when she turned her headā€”

She didnā€™t just look at meā€¦
she broke through me.

Through my doubts,
my fears,
my insecuritiesā€¦

Just like that.

And her voiceā€”

Her voice didnā€™t just enter my earsā€¦
it pierced through them.

Softā€¦ but powerful.

The kind of voice
that makes you want to listen againā€¦
and againā€¦
and again.

Because in that soundā€”

I found something.

Something I didnā€™t even know I was searching forā€¦

Salvation.

Yeahā€¦

She is my salvation.

Not the kind they preach aboutā€”
but the kind you feel.

The kind that heals quietly.

The kind that says:
ā€œStayā€¦ youā€™re safe here.ā€

(soft pause)

She came like a strangerā€¦

No warning,
no sign,
no permission.

But she changed me.

Completely.

My way of thinkingā€¦
my way of seeingā€¦
my way of being.

And suddenlyā€”

My body ran coldā€¦

Not from fearā€”

But from the realizationā€¦

That loveā€¦

Had found me.
