The Lion’s Promise

In the Pasture where sheep gather round,
A lion stood tall, his voice commanding.
"Elect me, dear flock, and you shall see,
A vegetarian lion I will surely be.

The sheep, with hope in their trusting eyes,
Believed his words, ignored the lies.
"At last," they thought, "a leader so kind,
Who will surely guard our lives and ease our mind."

But deep within the lion’s heart,
The hunger stirred, a sly device.
His roar was soft, his smile wide,
Yet hunger’s truth he could not hide.

The promises made, the speeches grand,
Were but illusions, a clever stand.
For when the votes were counted and done,
The lion feasted, one by one.

Oh, sheep, beware the leader’s charm,
Whose words are sweet but bring you harm.
For not all who claim to lead with care,
Will truly guard or be fair.

In the kingdom of beasts, the lessons are clear,
Beware the wolf who sheds a tear.
For promises made in a lion’s den,
Are often broken again and again.

The Lion’s Promise

In the Pasture where sheep gather round,
A lion stood tall, his voice commanding.
"Elect me, dear flock, and you shall see,
