Ndinalemba Dear Mahopu (Part 1) mu 2008 and later recorded it in 2012. These were the years that the word "Mahopu" was very popular among the youth in Malawi.
In 2013, I wrote Misonzi, nyimbo yomwe inathandiza kupanga raise awareness about HIV and AIDs; this song made me win the Project April's award of The Most Impact song.
In 2015, I wrote a song titled Beautiful People; this was around the time when we had many cases about people with albinism being abducted in Malawi. In the same year, magetsi amavuta kwambiri zopsyetsa mtima zija kuposaso momwe akuvutila panomu, mpaka the release of my album was delayed; I wrote a reggae song about it and titled it Blackout (Escom).
At Catholic University in 2016 and 2017, I wrote songs like Yearo, Every Friday Night, NLF, I love College I & II, Campus Gossip, Musandiwide, Malamulo khumi apa CU that reflected on the life of a college student and everyone could relate.
In 2020, Corona Virus invaded our local economy. I wrote a song titled Holiday. It narrated all the events that happened in that time.
In 2022 we lost Martin Martse Nkhata, the whole country mourned him, I wrote a tribute to him titled Maselema. It's also one of my favorites.
In 2023, Malawi experienced a violent Cyclone Freddy, which destroyed a lot of communities in Blantyre, Mulanje, Zomba, Phalombe, Chiradzulu and Nsanje. I wrote a song about it titled Napolo. It's still my favorite.
In 2024, I wrote a song titled OSA!, I featured the Kambwiri sisters, it was a dedication to Saulos Klaus Chilima who died in a plane crash in Chikangawa forest.
I have also made songs like Friendzone, Bachelor, Growing Everyday, Magobo, Chigoba, My Ghetto, Chigoba, Dear Mama, etc that reflect on issues that malawians experience on a daily basis.
My point is, as artists, we have a powerful platform to spark conversations and inspire change. By making music about issues in our country, we can raise awareness about pressing matters, give voice to the voiceless, and connect with listeners on a deeper level.
