MCG was and will always be the most successful event that Beto Bebeto and I have created. Without the 1st there will be no 2nd and the 3rd... I guessed all the late nights, all the energies, all the arguments was worth it, thank you all who took part on this project to make it happened. To create is not difficult, the most difficult is to maintain. We did it (ALo Lo, Claudia De Sousa, Hugo Cardoso, Iris Chan, Miguel Da Costa, Nico Vong, Stella Tang and many many others)! We all did it, without any of you, things will not be able to happened like it did. However, there is a category, should I used category? Anyway, there is a category that I cannot neglect, Sponsor! Without any sponsor I am 100% sure that we couldn't do what we did and this was exactly what happened to MCG... after 2012 MCG was history. Was it because MCG was not good enough? Maybe. Of course there was a lot to improve but unfortunately we didnt get more chances. But for me and I'm pretty sure for a group of people, MCG was a good show, not perfect but good. Then what happened? Why no sponsors? Hm.... Is not that there was no sponsors, is more like to choose who to be the sponsors. Yes, you heard me right I do select sponsor. Cocky, right!? Let me explain and see for yourself whether is cocky but even if you do I don't care 😅 I didn't want to twist the principal of our beliefs on doing MCG, I guessed I didn't want to be part of someone's "game" or something. I didn't want to have to "bow down" to someone, if you know what I mean. Of course I will respect you! I respect you like I will any others who got involve in this project. I didn't want to have favourite list just because you are a sponsor and the most important I didn't want people to think there is a dark side of MCG. You can say that I can't "lower my pride" but for me is not the pride, is the principal. If you really do say that I cannot lower my pride I think will be more suitable to say that I cannot lower my standards. Not sure whether you know how and why we created MCG but if you don't I can explain maybe in other post 😅 this post is getting too long. Anyway... I'm glad I didn't lower whatever you think it is. For me is a pity that MCG is now history but I'm glad that is a good one. Last but not least I would like to give a special gratitude to Stephanie and Tom from Av Depot for always believing me and our MCG group, William Kuan who helped me to make the very first MCG to happen; Marreiros who let us have the 2nd and the 3rd MCG, I know is not easy for you to get the funds from Fundação.
