This competition is open to all Pre-School and Primary school students aged 5 to 12 years old who are currently studying in Singapore. This year, we celebrate SG 60 and the theme of this competition is “My Singapore – Our Tomorrow, Today”. Students will compete in two groups as follows:
Group A – 5 to 9 years old (as at Dec 2025)
Group B – 10 to 12 years old (as at Dec 2025)
Students will prepare their work at home or in school. The painting is to be submitted to the SWS Telok Kurau Studio (91, Lorong J Telok Kurau, Room 304, Singapore 425985) on 5 July 2025 between 10 am and 2 pm.
A total of 23 awards per group will be presented. The first prize is $200, the second is $150, the third is $100, and 15 consolation awards. All participants will receive a certificate of participation, and there is NO entry fee for this competition. Participants are to create their paintings independently without assistance, otherwise, they will be disqualified. 5 schools with the highest number of participants will each receive a Certificate of Achievement.
Winners will be announced on 15 August 2025 on the SWS Facebook and other social media platforms. They will also be notified in writing and are expected to attend the prize-giving and opening ceremony of the exhibition at SCCC on 24th September. Winning works will be exhibited alongside those of SWS artists at the SWS annual exhibition.

56th annual exhibition to be held at the Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre (SCCC) Multi-Purpose Hall, Level 7, from Wed 24 September to Mon 29 September 2025.
