Murphy’s Celtic Legacy is a spectacular production breathing new life into Irish dance, fusing it with contemporary choreography, world class performances and an epic original soundtrack. Featuring world champion dancers and a live band, this incredible show has sold out theatres across the USA, Canada, UK, Middle East, Cyprus, Germany, Switzerland and Ireland, as well as performing exclusively on MSC Cruises. Its producer Chris Hannon was formerly a lead dancer in Michael Flatley's "Lord of the Dance", and his vision for Murphy’s Celtic Legacy is setting new standards, wowing audiences to standing ovation with its breathtaking display of talent. More than just a show, its story follows that of the Murphy Clan, shipwrecked on the shores of a mysterious island where all is not as it seems. It’s a captivating journey filled with dazzling drama, legendary lighting, and impossibly quick moves. This is Irish Dance. Reborn.

It’s rare and quite difficult to catch Irish dancers in sync in an action shots. - Rob Irish captured this beautifully though 👏🏽 🔥

There's nothing worse than late comers... Rob Irish trying his best to keep the shot.

'Eire' Scene 1, Act 1. Upbeat and incredible but deliberately low key before 'Journey of Hope' Scene 2, blows the audience away. An absolute crowd pleaser to open the show

That night the theatre had to open the extra seating at to accommodate the demand.

Murphy’s Celtic Legacy had a rough time with Covid, wiping out tours in the USA, Russia, Ukraine, France, Germany, Switzerland and Austria. Unlike us our partners didn’t survive Covid and the show didn’t bounce back with them. Then of course the German er person, which put the final nail in the coffin, or so we thought.

The show was incredible and gave audiences something different whilst still showcasing the best Irish music and dance. We didn’t invent our 5 star reviews and global critical acclaim, we earned it.

2023 was tragic for MCL and certainly ended a Legacy. Or did it…

There’s always a first for everything, including gifts 🙌🏽🍀.

We’ve sailed thousands of miles around the globe with MSC Cruises from Asia, to Australia, South America to Africa, Europe to North America. The guests never cease to amaze us in just how much they love our classes and shows.

Of course that all comes down to our incredible casts who have sailed the seven seas for the past 10 years and our latest dancers to join are no exception. We couldn’t be prouder of our current team, lead by Thomas, who himself is only on his second contract.

Thank you to Samantha, Keeley, Abi and Thomas for flying the 🇮🇪 flag for us across the Atlantic.

Enjoy your last evening in the Mediterranean and safe trip home tomorrow 💃🏻
As always huge thank you to our partners and MSC Cruises. We’re so proud to be part of this decade long journey with you.

Dance is more than movement. It’s memory, heritage, and story passed down through generations and today, we celebrate it all.

At Legacy Entertainment Ireland, dance is our heartbeat. From packed stadiums to arenas, sold out global tours to the seven seas, we’ve done it all to bring the power of Irish music and dance to the world. Every performance is a celebration, not just of our culture, but of the universal language that connects us all.

On this International Dance Day, we honour every dancer who has ever felt the pull of the music and answered with their feet.

Happy International Dance Day from Legacy Entertainment Ireland💃🏼🇮🇪
