A record 1,126 applications for Riga Music Week 2026! 🐓

Artist applications are officially closed, and we are honestly a little overwhelmed by the response.

This year, we received 1,126 applications from 89 countries and territories, almost three times more than last year. 86.7% of the artists have never performed in Latvia before, so there is a lot for us to discover.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who chose to share their music with us. The selection process now begins, and we are already excited for the next edition of Riga Music Week.

RIGaLIVE Songwriting Camp returns this November ✨

From 1–3 November, the 12th edition brings songwriters and producers to Riga for a focused creative camp, centred around music for visual media – film, television, games and commercials.

This year Skaņu Mežs ir collaborating with Riga Music Week, which takes place on 4–6 November in Tallinn Street Quarter with a programme that brings together talented artists, industry professionals and audiences from across Europe and beyond.

Parallel to our SNACK open call for experimental musicians and sound artists, Riga Music Week is also collecting applications for their showcase.
They are looking for artists across all genres, from emerging voices to established acts ready for an international stage.

Riga Music Week returns this November! 🐓

From 4–6 November, Tallinn Street Quarter will host the second edition of the festival, with artists, industry, and audiences coming to Riga from across Europe and beyond. An expanded programme will be announced in the coming months.

Riga Music Week is nominated for “Gada eksports” (Export of the Year) at the GAMMA Awards ✨

This nomination recognises artists and initiatives that, through their work abroad in 2025, have carried the name of Latvian music into the world and strengthened its international presence.

Being included in this category as an international music conference and city festival means a lot to us. If you believe in building bridges between Latvian and global music scenes, we would truly appreciate your support!
