The aim of “The Etching Guild” is mainly focused on the well being of the soiciety in the means of coordinating a collaborative system based on similar interests concerning the professional artists specialized in etching as well. This is achieved by holding the level of the artists’ professional skill at the highest by continuing the unique traditions and the creative process of etching. The empha
sis is made on the deep print technique – etching, as it is one of the most resounding graphic techniques. The art of etching is unrepeatable, impossible to forecast, inevitably linked with the experimental process, over and above it results in a masterpiece, created by the hands of an artist. In the near future “The Etching Guild” is planning to organize periodical etching exhibitions in home countries as well as to take part in exchange projects, and co-working with galleries from other countries. In the long run, the best etching works of artists will be published in a catalogue. By actively supporting “The Etching Guild” aspirations to popularize the art of etching, each and everyone has the chance to be part of the society and to get a honorary member status.
