Hey guys! This is the book I illustrated last year!! Please get your copy/classroom resources! I love taking on these different projects 🥜☀️ It’s so exciting to see the book being read all over the state of Florida!

We’re excited to introduce Cotton and its Boll vs. the Peanut and its Hull — this year’s Florida Agriculture Literacy Day book!

The story explores two iconic Southern crops — cotton and peanuts — in a friendly competition that highlights how both play vital roles in our history, economy, and daily lives. Readers will discover how these crops grow, the ways they help farmers and the environment, and the ultimate lesson that farming isn’t about rivalry—it’s about teamwork.
Educators and volunteers can use this fun, fact-filled story to spark curiosity and teach students about the power of Florida agriculture.
