It took me 49 years to realize:

Aging is not a battle.

It’s a gift we learn to embrace.

In my early 40s, I felt the pressure.

Tweak this. Fix that. Stay relevant. Look fresh.

For a while, I believed it.

But then I saw something different.

The women I admired weren’t the youngest.

They wore their power like a second skin.

✨ It wasn’t their skin that glowed.  
✨ It was their *energy*.

They didn’t hide their evolution.

They led with it.

Today, I work with powerhouse women.

6 Things My Teen Will Never See Me Do During Perimenopause

Navigating perimenopause isn’t just about me—it’s about showing my teenager resilience, self-love, and growth even in the messy moments.

Here are 6 things I will never let my daughters see me do in front of them:

1️ Pretending I’m “Fine” When I’m Not

Hiding my struggles doesn’t teach them strength—it teaches them silence. I show them it’s okay to speak up and seek out help when needed.

2️ Neglecting My Health

Eating poorly, or ignoring my needs sets the wrong example of what it means to take charge of our bodies. I want them to see that caring for yourself is a priority, not a luxury.

3. Complaining About Ageing

Wrinkles and changes are part of life! I embrace them gracefully so they’ll see ageing as something to honour, not fear.

4️ Letting Stress Control Me

Hormones can wreak havoc, but snapping at others or bottling up emotions isn’t the answer to our worries. So showing them how I manage stress with gentle breathwork and mindfulness is important in my home.

5️ Ignoring Boundaries

I don’t overextend myself or people-please. Saying “no” is a life skill I want them to master early.

6️ Deprioritizing My Dreams

This stage of life is about renewal, not retreat. I want my teens to see me chase my goals, reminding them it’s never too late to thrive.

Perimenopause is part of my story, not the end of it. I want my teens to learn that every chapter is an opportunity for growth.

Watching the devastating fires in LA and seeing people lose their homes has been deeply heartbreaking. I can’t begin to imagine the pain of losing everything in a matter of moments—the walls that held your laughter, the rooms that cradled your dreams.

Over a year ago, I made the difficult decision to separate from my husband.

It wasn’t because he was bad, but because I needed to let go of the little girl inside me—the one who had been tangled up in limiting beliefs and old stories about who I should be.

For so long, I carried the weight of those beliefs—beliefs that told me I wasn’t enough, that I had to shrink myself to fit into the expectations of others.

But in the process of finding myself again, I realized I had to let go of the person I thought I was to become the woman I’m meant to be.

As a perimenopause empowerment specalist, I’ve seen firsthand how many of us hold onto old narratives that keep us small, especially during times of transition.

But here’s the truth: it’s never too late to shed those old skins and rise into a new version of yourself.

This journey hasn’t been easy, but it’s been freeing. I’ve learned to embrace my power, my worth, and my capacity for growth.

Now, I’m stepping into this next chapter with clarity, strength, and a heart open to the possibilities ahead.

If you’re feeling stuck, I want you to know: that you don’t have to stay where you are.

Indulge in some breast massage.

I just keep choosing another perfect start as soon as I’m blessed with another day.
 
You don’t have to be on top of it all to have a beautiful life.
 
Try your best. Don’t beat yourself up when you fail.
 
Sleep well.
