One of the few trophies I’ve kept over an extensive ballroom career..
Brad was lost in an accident and I never got a chance to compete against him again..
The following year I won and was presented with this trophy with his name engraved @ the triple crown hosted by Larry Dean @ the time..
I remember being so grateful and heartbroken that somehow being 2nd to him and winning that tribute trophy was the best way the BALLROOM community can honor those who have graced and entertained us not only on the floor yet with their very presence as well..
I’d only met him once and he was such a gracious encouraging winner I was happy for him and his dance family
Those Nashville peeps I love so much..
I’ve carried this trophy for so many years so today as the “memory” popped up I decided after many years… why not share..
“ dance your heart out today and embrace each other, tomorrow is never guaranteed”
