Malawiโ€™s 2-1 win against Namibia yesterday increased Liberiaโ€™s chances of finishing second in Group H. However, to move from third to second, Liberia will have to win Malawi on Monday and hope for Sรฃo Tomรฉ and Principe to secure a win against Namibia on Tuesday. Like Liberia, both Malawi and Equatorial Guinea are also eyeing the second spot.

Ending second COULD keep Liberiaโ€™s 2026 World Cup hopes alive. As per the rules, Africaโ€™s four best second-placed teams will advance to a play-off, with one qualifying to represent the continent in the inter-confederation play-off.

Monrovia, Liberia: The Liberia National Police (LNP) has announced the dismissal of Patrolmen Edwin T. Ceasar and Stephen B. Wanawon from the Police Support Unit(PSU). This decision follows an internal investigation that confirmed the officers committed criminal misconduct, abuse of authority, and other unsatisfactory conduct.

The investigation, carried out by the Professional Standards Department, found that both officers violated the LNPโ€™s rules on discipline and professional standards, as outlined in the Discipline Regulations of 2016.

In line with its commitment to integrity and accountability, the LNP has removed the officers from active duty and handed them over to the Criminal Service Department for further investigation and possible prosecution.

Meanwhile, the Liberia National Police reaffirmed its mission to serve the public with professionalism, neutrality, and respect for human rights. The police emphasized that disciplinary actions like these are vital to maintaining high standards and restoring public trust in law enforcement.

The Liberia National Police thanked the public for its continued cooperation and support in building a safer and more just Liberia.
