DStv Introduces New Packages, Lower-Cost Options for Liberian Subscribers
MONROVIA, Liberia — October 26, 2026 — DStv will introduce new subscription packages in Liberia beginning November 5, 2026, offering customers new options for watching movies, African television shows, children’s programs, and live sports at monthly prices ranging from US$7 to US$37.
The changes are part of a major update by MultiChoice Group, a CANAL+ company, aimed at giving subscribers more choices and improving access to entertainment across Africa.
Under the new arrangement, DStv Access will become DStv Starter at US$7 per month, while DStv Family will be replaced by DStv Select at US$13 per month. DStv Compact will become DStv Sports at US$24 per month, while DStv Compact Plus and DStv Premium will be replaced by DStv Ultimate at US$37 per month.
The new packages are designed to serve different customers, including families, movie lovers, and sports fans, allowing subscribers to choose options that better suit their interests and budgets.
DStv Starter will offer more channels than the previous Access package. Its content will include the new SuperSport KICKOFF channel, Premier League Match of the Week, La Liga, M-Net Legends, and Star Life.
DStv Select, which replaces DStv Family, will provide a wider selection of entertainment for households. Subscribers will have access to movie channels, African and international series, and children’s programming, including Nickelodeon. The package will also include content from channels such as M-Net Movies+, Novelas+, and Telemundo, alongside the announced sports offerings.
For sports lovers, DStv Sports will provide coverage of every Premier League and UEFA Champions League match, cricket, selected international club rugby, WWE, and UFC. The package will also include the general entertainment channels available on DStv Select.
Subscribers seeking a wider range of sports and entertainment will be able to choose DStv Ultimate. The package will combine the content available on DStv Sports with additional premium sporting events, including Formula 1, MotoGP, ATP tennis, and major PGA golf tournaments. It will also feature leading M-Net entertainment.
Alongside the package changes, DStv plans to refresh its movie selection with channels such as M-Net Movies+, M-Net Stars, and M-Net Legends. The company says the new movie line-up is intended to bring viewers more blockbuster films, quicker access to new releases, and fewer repeats.
MultiChoice also says its integration with CANAL+ will strengthen its ability to invest in African entertainment and bring more African productions to audiences at home and abroad.
Viewers in Liberia can expect more West African stories, popular Nollywood films, and major regional productions across MultiChoice’s local channels in the coming months.
