A study undertaken by the Ehrenberg-Bass Institute for Marketing Science found that sales decline when a brand stops advertising for long periods.
The Research has found that,
-When a brand stops advertising for a year or more, sales decline yearly, falling 16% after one year and 25% after two.
-The smaller brand typically suffers more, with more prominent brands relying on market dominance.
