This is a photograph I captured near the Arugam Bay Lagoon. The image showcases the lagoon, the fishing boats moored along its banks, the homes of local residents, and the landscape stretching into the distance. What makes this scene special is that, despite being just a short distance from the tourist-filled Arugam Bay beach, it reveals the quiet everyday lives of local people and the traditional fishing industry that often goes unnoticed.

මෙය මා විසින් ආරුගම්බේ කලපුව ආසන්නයේ ලබාගත් ඡායාරූපයකි. ඡායාරූපයේ ආරුගම්බේ කලපුව, ඉවුරේ නවතා ඇති ඔරු සහ සාමාන්‍ය මිනිසුන්ගේ නිවාස සමඟින් ඈතට විහිදුණු පරිසරය ද දැකගත හැක. මෙහි විශේෂත්වය නම් අධික ලෙස සංචාරකයන්ගෙන් පිරී ඇති ආරුගම්බේ වෙරළ තීරයට ඉතා ආසන්නයෙන් ඇස නොගැටෙන සාමාන්‍ය ජනජීවිතයක් හා ධීවර කර්මාන්තයක් පවතින ආකාරය පිළිබඳ දැකගැනීමට හැකි වීමයි.
