Chase your dreams and flying into a rainbow

Why are there so many songs about rainbows And what's on the other side
Rainbows are visions
But only illusions
And rainbows have nothing to hide
So we've been told
And some choose to believe it I know they're wrong, wait and see
Some day we'll find it
The rainbow connection
The lovers, the dreamers, and me
Who said that every wish
Would be heard and answered
When wished on the morning star
Somebody thought of that
And someone believed it
And look what it's done so far
What's so amazing
That keeps us stargazing
And what do we think we might see
Someday we'll find it
The rainbow connection
The lovers, the dreamers, and me
All of us under its spell, we know that it's probably magic
Have you been half asleep?
And have you heard voices?
I've heard them calling my name
Is this the sweet sound
That called the young sailors?
The voice might be one in the sante
I have heard it too many times to ignore it
It is something that I'm supposed to be
Someday we'll find it
The rainbow connection

Vesak

The most important festival
In the Buddhist calendar in Sri Lankan history
Featuring three important milestones
That the Buddha has achieved
Celebrating the birth, enlightenment and passing of the Buddha
The religious significance of Vesak
Is to promote peace and harmony
And mutual understanding and sincere respect to everyone belonging to
All races, religions, cultures, colors and nations
Uniting humanity without discrimination
Among the traditions associated with Vesak
Are the er****on of pandols
Serving food and drinks called dansalas
Singing songs of religious devotion
Known as Bhakti Geetha
This clearly underlines that Vesak is the
Most important religious festival in Sri Lanka
And the second most important festival
In the nation after Avurudu

Today is the day
A day filled with hope and charm
With endless love, joy and laughter
With ample opportunities and career prospects
Life feels great on a day like no other
On this day, history will be rewritten
Etched in gold letters on velvet canvas
From dependent child to independent adult
Having passed through life’s greatest milestones
With more exciting challenges and adventures coming on
The journey is not over
Life is like a roller coaster
Filled with excitement and emotion
Business not yet finished
Fun is unlimited
As I celebrate 31 years of my life
The whole world will be a better place to live in

Happy 31st Birthday to me

May Day

The new month of May has just begun
Yet something extraordinary marks the beginning of
A national holiday targeting the working class
And the labor force in general
A day of observing the nature
Of the working environment
The day had originated
From a violent struggle
That left several thousands of workers dead
The color red symbolizes the blood of the workers
Who fought hard for their labor rights
To this day, workers still strive hard
To achieve the desired results
For the benefits of their families
Society, and the country
The workers are the lifeblood of our economy
The fabric of our society
The backbone of our country
Without them, the country would come to a standstill
Red blood stands for the blood of workers
Frequently featuring on communist flags of the past
When everyone works together
The country will stand strong
For the benefit of the economy
Of both the individual and society

To a wonderful soul who wishes freedom
From parental care, restrictions and captivity
So honest, reliable and helpful
Has the passion of making friends at work, gym and old school
Has the knowledge of management training
In an office specializing in the sale of construction equipment and machinery
Everything makes a difference
Yet my brother’s business is unfinished
In a world never imagined before
Filled with endless opportunities
To build our country’s future
To the greatest possible extent
His heart will desire for success
To become a successful entrepreneur in future
And his favorite hobby of them all
Is watching anime, sitcoms and sketch comedies and video game footage on his smartphone
His best interest, by all others
Is to spend time with his cats
As we celebrate 23 years of goodness
Let’s all raise a mug and clap our hands
To say a happy birthday
To my wonderful brother
Who makes the whole family happy
And the country a better place to live
And the world a much better place than ever

Happy birthday malli!!
We love you!!!

The most pleasant and joyful time of the year has just begun
Filled with fireworks, noise and the sounds of the cuckoo singing
As the messenger of Avurudu
To mark the start of the new year
As the red Erabadu turns red
And starts blooming in the bright sun
Emitting a pleasant fragrance
Sweetening the air with incense
And the sound of Rabana
Heralds the perfect occasion for celebrations to continue
Enjoying the traditional sweet meats
Such as Kevum, Kokis, Aluwa, Askme, Gingelly, Milk Toffees and more
As well as the staple of Avurudu
Milk Rice with Lunu Miris
And the fun also begins with games
Such as Pancha Kelly, Onchili Padima, Lime and Spoon Race,
Cross Country Running, Sack Race, Pinning the eye on the elephant, Kana Mutti Bindeema, and plenty more
The festivity of Avurudu
Brings a smile to people’s faces
Filling the atmosphere with laughter, joy and pride

May this Avurudu season be prosperous, successful and full of endless happiness and love

Wish all my followers a very happy Sinhala and Tamil New Year

Another major milestone
As you celebrate 62 years
A moment to cherish
A lifetime of endless joy and love
Happiness will prevail through
And celebrations will continue to ring in
You are the best mother in the world
A caring doctor, trustworthy family member
You are the queen of my family
A precious gift from nature
You made me succeed with discipline, honesty and kindness
Selfless and everlasting kindness
Pours all over you
For you are so white
You are as white as a Turkish angora cat
Whose fur is white as snow
You are the white rose who constantly blooms every morning
The most caring mother
Believes in herself

Happy birthday Amma

As the spring time has come
The snow has started to melt
In the land of the maple leaf
And the sun starts giving extra daylight in the evening
Marking the fresh start of a brand new day
And the biggest joy of all
Is the marking of a great day
Dedicated entirely to celebration
And plenty of gift giving
And cakes and party festivities
It is actually the best joy ever made
It is the celebration of my father
Several years and counting
Your dreams will come true to you
May you have a special birthday
A year filled with joy, love, success and prosperity
And peace and harmony will prevail
Let freedom ring

Thatha
We love you

Never give up

Since I was a young boy
I had a dream
I look handsome and bright
Like a singer and dancer
When I live in Colombo for work travelling on foot
And join open university
As a project assistant
My dreams will come true
And it will happen to me
I can do anything if I keep trying
Because most importantly
The hardest task will be easier
And my dreams will come true
Keep believing in myself
This is the time
This is the place
I am a permanent fixture
Of Open University
And the best project assistant in my department
I will be the best guy to keep company with
I will be the greatest person in our department
I am the boy who cares about us
I am the the guy to be with
I will go down in history
As the best project assistant in this department

The 78th Independence Day

78 years of independence
Have come to Colombo
From British colony to
An independent, self-reliant nation
With natural beauty and hospitality
Friendly people and astonishing wildlife
Scenic greenery and sprawling beaches
The mountainous countryside
To the vibrant streets and constant sunshine
Having overcome all obstacles
And major challenges in history
Such as the Sri Lankan Civil War,
The Easter Sunday Attacks, The Covid Pandemic, the Economic Crisis
Sri Lanka is a resilient country
That is self sustaining
Self reliant, independent and free
