Since 2018, Anusha has been painting flowers whose names often go unnoticed - the wildflowers we pass by without a second glance. Through this body of work, he reflects on how society assigns value: elevating some while overlooking others. Using flowers as a metaphor for caste, class, and identity in Sri Lanka, the exhibition questions the systems that divide the “known” from the “unknown,” and the dignified from the unseen.

We are pleased to announce the upcoming exhibition, ‘Beyond the Canvas’, by Shevan Gunasekara. The exhibition will be on view from 24 - 30 April 2026, from 10:00am to 5:00 pm, at Curado Art Space, 302 Park Road, Colombo 05.

“Shevan is a graduate of the Arts School at ANU in Canberra, Australia (2012–2015). This is his third exhibition, where he presents his art as a personal exploration and expression of what art is and how it is defined. Throughout history, art has been shaped and redefined by human interpretation; here, Shevan once again challenges those definitions through his unique style and paintings.

His first exhibition was held at the Harold Peiris Gallery, followed by a home exhibition, and he now presents his work at Curado Art Space.”
