This river, home to Kaluwamodara Fish Park, provides a livelihood for many families – including ours.
That's why we decided to do something about the plastic bottles, floating bags, discarded fishing lines, ropes, and other rubbish drifting through its waters.
We won't change the whole country in a day, but today we made a difference where we could. A 2-kilometre stretch of the river is now cleaner, healthier, and a little more beautiful for the wildlife, the local community, and everyone who comes here to enjoy its natural beauty.

Did you know that crocodiles live right next to Kaluwamodara Fish Park?
The nearby Bentota River is home to these fascinating reptiles. Sometimes you can even spot them from our pier, but the best views are usually during a river safari by boat.

If you're visiting us these days, keep your eyes open and don't miss the chance to explore the river too!
